  1. Nice one Sam, what was the 60-130 mph time out of interest? 7.5 or so?
  2. Another private day Sweet!
  3. Bad comparison, with the M3s. Advertising price has no reflection on the market price/value of them. I've had a few M cars, the depreciation on them is epic. I agree they are great pieces of kit and at any price.
  4. I know of a 2011 for sale with 4.5k on the clock where the dealer is asking $149k for it. It's essentially by all accounts brand new, has all the latest updates and is in a desirable colour. A 2009 is a 3 yr old car now, realistically I'd think one is worth $100k tops. A 2010/11 with all the updates is more desirable, thus commands a premium. But that's just my 2c.
  5. Interested to see where this goes. I reckon $90k's is on the mark for an 09.
  6. Awesome Kev thanks for posting, pretty much bang on what I'd expect for that trap speed. Bit scary that you can't notice the gear changes in the chart!
  7. Hey Sam, What does yours run in the 60-130 bracket or have you not logged that yet?
  8. Hey Duncan, I've converted him to the dark side. He is on the hunt for one after having his eyes opened
  9. 09s have to run around 100-110k lots have sat on the market at higher prices.
  10. The kicker to that is not everyone has liabilities, everyone's circumstances are different though which is great. If you can run it through a business or some other entity then leasing to me makes sense to me. But again, everyone's circumstances and structure is different. If your paying out of your own pocket, I agree with Sam your better off putting money in appreciating assets than borrowing against depreciating ones, but that's just me. The beauty of it is everyone does what suits them. Real estate and the share market doesn't double every 5.5 years either.
  11. OS giken ratios perhaps
  12. 13. Keen as mustard to come along, can bring 5-6 cars although no GTRs.
  14. Thank's for the write up, really detailed and good to get your impressions. Seems like a good improvement over the current car, I don't know that it would sway me to upgrade if I currently had one though.

Down at Ron's aye. At least you got a new whip, sorry about all the headache hopefully the new one will be bigger and better.
  16. Looking good Sam! Good to see your still leading the way
  17. Love it how a car thats "tracked" is suddenly worth "less". Its more likely to be owned by an enthusiast and maintained properly, anyone that buys a GTR is in the same boat as those that buy a GT3/2, TT they are more than likely going to see the odd track day. It's what they were built for. Sounds like fair value at around $125k some of the sellers are dreaming with what they are asking in the second hand market.
  18. Go with Shannon's, I insured my newest car with them. 5 weeks later I put a claim in for the free windshield (which was a legit claim, $1200 later for Shannons though plus labour) They are great to deal with in my experience.
  19. Made the leap to the R35 aye Sam? What are your thoughts on it? Be pretty keen to hear your impressions on it and real world running costs further down the track. Gotta post pics up! Especially on e46.f! Still got the 7/2?
  20. Give Bob Jane at Haberfield a call 9798 8844‎, speak with Steve or Daniel. They will be able to steer you in the right direction as they do the tyres for quite a lot of track cars, GTRs, Porkas, Ferrari's etc.
  21. Michelin PSC come in 19s on the GT2/3 and with BMWs CSL. Im sure you can get a slick in that size now days even though 18s are probably the norm. Where are you located?
  22. Everyone thought they were good bits of kit at Bathurst late last year and checked them out, no bitter rivalry that I saw. Most everyone was keen to see them out and about on the track. Although everyone loved the R34 going nuts in the super sprint and taking the honours.
  23. I suppose when its your money and your car you can do what you want with it. I'd hardly call it a "bitter rivalry" locally, thats all US forum stuff where they haven't had the exposure to GTRs like we have here. I find it hard to see the reasoning why he needs to justify to others how he chooses to enjoy his vehicle, this is an enthusiasts forum no? If you don't like this thread, don't click on it. Its one of thousands on SAU.
  24. That system looks trick! Huge difference compared with the one your binning.
