Haha yeah small world! Should have known, select market for Fcars! Congrats on the new whip!
-
Congrats, did you go ahead with the sale? A mate has one (black 360 f1) for sale in Victoria, Aust delivered similar ks as the one at Rick D's.
-
I'd expect it'd throw up a pretty reasonable number, Fitzgerald do them (being in Melb you've probably had experience with them with the 996?) Who if you don't mind me asking who did you find was the best local vendor to go with? Or did it wind up being easier to just source OS? If you want a crack with the PB at the strip and don't have one, happy to shoot it down for you to have a crack with. I'd like to get my nugget out to WSID with it but I reckon I'd run all the way through the braking area before I hit 130 in it! For sure, but that's the same with anything. A dyno number is just that I'm sure you'd agree the most effective way to measure performance gains are via trap speed at the drag strip if all the other parameters are within an acceptable variance. What was done to the E46 M3? 25+kw at the wheels out of tuning has to be conservatively 40 at the flywheel. Pushing it close to the 300 kw region, quite a substantial figure from a 3.2 ltr straight six (120+hp per litre without FI)
-
That's some nice kit! I reckon your right, a spare ECU could be the way to go at some point, or just wait until the warranty expires. Not too many tuners locally from what I've seen that'll actually tune the car on a dyno, probably something to look into later. 440+kw, that's quite a big leap. The torque would be the best part however! It should sound tops with the 100 cells. So, I take it the ECU is installed and rocking along? Impressions? If you ever take it to the drag strip down there and want to do one of those 60-130 runs (it'll trap over 130 mph with that much power) let me know and I'll have Simon ship down my Performance Box to Ben's place or yours for you to have a go with.
-
Hahah will do, I'm going to email it to him. He'll cack himself, from what Sim has said he'd be better off if Big Benny shipped him up his legs rather than a new bike! He's had a few dramas with one of his dogs this week Simon as well which isn't good and hasn't been doing any riding at all since October or so. Good to hear about the GT2 getting sorted, does it cop a big power hike just from the flash? Or are you going exhaust as well? I'm debating doing it with mine (the flash) but am worried about the extended warranty, can the dealer tell its been flashed easily?
-
Sorry to hear about the rabbit. As you said, its about having life's priorities in order, health and family are first and foremost. That said, Simon is still waiting on his Zipp 1080's. How is the GT2 travelling? Will see more of its progress on the 6 no doubt.

Fs Recaro Pole Positions
1q2w3e4r replied to 1q2w3e4r's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey mate, not interested in swaps thanks! Trying to unload some surplus stuff. -
I'm unloading my Recaro Pole Positions. These seats are mint, they have roughtly 3000 km on them, no wear on them from getting in and out etc. Both seats come with with runners, you'll need a base plates for fitment though. These are a great upgrade for those who do the odd track day, your going to save a heap of weight over your standard seats with these. So to recap 2 x Recaro Pole Position race shell(s) (weighs around 7kgs you can confirm by checking Recaro's info for exact numbers), double locking runners, Recaro sidemounts, Recaro Lumbar support system. If you were to option these up from Ideal Seat Company they'd run you about $1800 with base plates. The seats retail around the $1250 mark range each from memory, I can't contact Ideal Seat Co as they are obviously closed over the weekend but obviously feel free to check out the current retail pricing. Sorry for the crappy photos, but I assume most people interested know what they look like. I'm after $2k for both seats, firm on the price, this is a good buy for whoever picks them up. Will look something like this (with you driving on the right side of the car) Actual seats Contact details. Feel free to contact me via PM. Email is probably best though as I am not on the forums often. b40071707@hotmail.com Location: The seats are located in Sydney, I'll be moving them down to Advan Performance so potential buyers can check them out in person at their own convienence, I'd prefer local pickup but can ship interstate at buyers expense.

PMs replied to. -
Some of you guys should get out on a racetrack, or get out at Bathurst on a no speed limit event. A 2:25 is honking around there, for a STOCK road car. The fastest Carerra Cup cars were running 2:20s at the Drive Bathurst event, and the quickest time that won the Supersprint was a 2:26 on the final day which was a R33 running in 2WD. None of those cars were even remotely close to standard.

Photos of the wheels. Sorry for the poor quality lighting, they are stored at my tyre guys place. Sorry, not really willing to separate the wheels and tyres at the moment, prefer to sell as a complete set. -

I've got a whole bunch of spare parts laying around gathering dust I've decided to unload. I've got the following parts, viewable at Auburn in Sydney. 1 set of immaculate R32 GTR wheels, no scratches or gutter rash fitted with Mickey Thompson ET 255/50/16s. The tread has never been used, the tyres are brand new, the tread is worth $1600+ from memory. After $1200 for the lot. Perfect for those keen to go drag racing and run a good time straight off the bat. No pictures currently as they are in storage at my tyre guys place I can get some for those interested, or pick them up and drop them off at Auburn so you can check them out when it suits you. 1 Brand new (never used) R33 GTR gearbox. This is a spare gearbox, its never been fitted, selling due to no need for it any more. Its not rebuilt or the like, but brand new from Nissan it has 0 km on it. Why chance buying a second hand one that is knackered when you can get a brand new one at such a discount? These run for $3300+ new after $2700 for SAU members. 1 R32 GTR Brake kit. Standard R32 calipers, DBA 2500 rotors with Hawk pads and brake lines. The brakes have done 2000 km of street driving (no track work). Selling due to upgrade, so I no longer have any use for them. Chasing $1200, good upgrade for those with 200s. Standard R33 GTR discs with Rb74 pads $200 Everything can be viewed at Advan Performance by prior appointment with Peter or myself. I'm keen to move this stuff as I've got my eye on some other goodies.

How To Prep For Drags In My Gtr?.....im I 1st Timer...
1q2w3e4r replied to nsta's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Not really. A 126 mph trap speed with a 13.5 second ET doesn't really add up. Was this at WSID? Or with some other kind of equipment? Just take it out and have fun with it, don't worry about aiming for an ET or going in with expectations. The car will run what it runs.
