Cost depends on your situation ie cams licence holder or not i think its roughly 130 for non cams licence holder etc

will be a good day. Its worth coming, on a day like this there is nothing to prove just come out and have fun. We are all hoping to get a solid 5 sessions in, which is more than enough. This is a well organised event plus its only cars so no karts etc. The club is looking to have a time attack later in the year so this will be a good chance to get some practice in for those of you that have not tracked your car before. And yeh Matt's mirage is pretty quick! for those of you that have no idea what we are all on about grab feb's issue of fast fours.

well thats a fair amount of work done there. 1.20 is a good time i would be happy with that. who did the faom filling, i saw that done on street tuner challenge on fox apprently it can make a diff on 32's. have you nitice much difference? but as you have said mallala isnt all about power you need the brakes and handling to match. As for the GT3RS was it a 996 or 997? would have been a awesome sight eitherway! porsche dont put an actual porsche badge on the rs its a sticker to save weight thats the the extent they have gone to with the RS

1.12 That would almost be a record! i think the fastest V8 supercar lap is 1.08. actually 11.8 is the fastest GT3 porsche cup time as per http://www.mallala.com/laprecords.htm i wonder if he was blowing his own horn? but in a GT3RS it is achieveable. are you sure it was gt3 RS i have only seen GT3 clubsports(cage etc) in SA did it have black mirrors and black wheels what colour was it? GT3 RS are awesome track cars, dare i say one of the best in the world! i am jealous you saw it!

ok here is an update. i have done some ringing around and here is what i have found... i have been speaking to a few people and they would like to keep it to around 30 cars so we will have plenty of track time for thise entered, but we may have a few more.... As for including other cars we wont be allowing other marques it will be strictly GTR EVO STI. However, for those of you without one of the three the evo club will be organising another timed event which will be open to everyone. id like to organise it through MGEC, but i dont know what will happen with the costs etc. I will have to talk to some of the club guys. i have spoken to clem and to have the track for the day will cost around 3.5k plus independant timing and ambo's etc. also i need to organise insurance through cams as its being timed getting insurance requires being a part of a cams affiliated club. So looks like the day will cost anywhere between 5 and 6k. Maybe more, but i have some other options on the cards this means with 30 cars say 10 of each will cost roughly 200 each. I would happily pay that just need to find out if others will. so for the moment until i speak to the mgec boys i have hit a bit of hurdle, but i am still keen as mustard so i will keep sorting things out. so yeh basically will you all be willing to pay around $200 for the day? This will include alot of track time and it will not be rushed to get through groups etc. so there will be plenty of time to put down some good times.

Mate by the sounds of it unless you want a broken GTR don't track your car. I am not being rude its just a car that you take on the track needs to be in perfect running order or else something will let go and in a big way!

boys common relax! no gtst will keep up to a evo sti or gtr stock for stock or with similar level of mods around a track so lets not even go down this angle of argument. And its not a fear thing. i am thinking more of the GTR drivers on the day the slower times of the gtsts will bring down average times which is what i am planning on using for points etc at this stage i love gtsts i really do they look great and sound awesome and get great power with minimal mods, but i am afraid that if i dont keep this track day niche it will become too big also, but...................as i have such a soft spot for gtst we will see. i have plenty of interest let me come back to you all with dates and prices next then we can all talk the sphincter of the universe.

dont get upset boys! if i make one concession next there will be wrx forester and liberty's. this event will only be the racing variants of the three models sorry. everyone is missing the point of the day. my brother has a hardcore GTST that will not be being entered either no exceptions sorry well i have enough interest so stay posted for some further details!

sorry madaz but the organisers and i will be adamant only the three mention models also i dont think R34 had Active Yaw Control dont they have attessa only a better version of attessa right? i could be wrong.

There are a few evos in adel making around 300awkw that will compete. I also have had interstate Evo interest. Most evo guys are track mad. Evos dont necessarily need big power to put down really good times. Getting a quick lap time is all about car set ie balance of power braking and suspension big HP GTRs dont always have the brakes to back up the HP either std brembos will only cut it for so long around mallala escpecially with 300+kw i have seen similar days organised in a similar fashion to what i have suggested.

Deluxe i was have been thinking long and hard about this. I was thinking of organising the field in to groups. groups seperated by level of modifications (this would require scrutineering by ppl in the know) so in simple terms have groups such as 1) All out race cars ie tarmac cars 2) Fairly Modified street cars set up for track 3)mild modified street cars set up for track 4)Stockos i am and will be speaking to many people about this and am open to suggestions i was thinking of maybe even having a qualifying session first up in the morning on the day or even nominating a predicted lap time for yourself as an entrant and applying penalties for being quicker than your prescribed time. As i have said before i am just interested in knowing if i can get atleast 10 cars of each marque out there. Also possibly getting the day sponsored. before i go any further. i hope that sort of gives people a basis of consideration as i have said feel free to make suggestions Then its down to driver ability and experience

I know no GTSTs hurts but i am only thinking of the actual event sorry boys i do feel bad but hey.... If you guys can get together some decent GTRs it will be awesome! I wouldnt be scared if i had a GTR id be getting ready to go hunting EVOs and STIs also i reply to your post luke ENR34 i think only GTRs pretty much stipulates NO NON TURBOS

It didnt take long for you guys to spam this thread... was kinda surprised it lasted as long as it did without stupid posts! well for now i have one fairly interested person from SAU. i hope it doesnt end up just a EVO Vs STI day come on boys & girls i was thinking for me to even bother making further enquiries i need atleast 5-10 people keen?? and as for racing GTSTs i think it may be kept GTR only and no i am not being a snob i love GTSTs, but to make it fair we can only compare 4WD against 4WD, although i know of a few guys with GTST who would be very competitive in terms of times. its just i would like to keep it this way.
