  1. Just for intererest, has anyone seen a V36 without factory nav in AUS? 100% of the ones I've looked at, sedans admittedly, have had the useless for AUS nav.
  2. Finally removed the small bracket under the car that had been banging against the coupe mid pipe since I fitted it... Think it was there to catch a broken tailshaft... 15 minutes I should have invested months ago... No more banging from under the car....
  3. Is there a bleed point in the pipe at the back of the engine? Did you open it? With the M35's it's a complete arse of a job, and the rear bleed point needs to be used to ensure minimum of airlocks. It is even used for the last few topping up..
  4. Got a friend who has defleeted their Transporters for iLoads as the drivers prefered them to drive, and our friends prefered the servicing costs... Had a few scary bills on the VWs.. Previous to that, they had Vito's which lasted for ever but cost a fortune to buy in the first place..
  5. Like I said, Hyundai run them for themselves, and they will generally be looked after and disposed of at under 10k. Plus the dealer demo vehicles..
  6. Love your avatar Fodder!! Where did you find it?
  7. Really good van, had an iMax for a month or so when the olds were out from the UK, it's quite tall though, and only just fitted in the garage... Does your Dad have an ABN? They tend to be a bit more accomodating if you do.. Some driveaway deals at the moment, but I think only on the petrol manual.. Just keep plugging away and look out for the ex Hyundai Head Office Demo's, They do run a few of them as part and parcel of their fleet for press and leasing demos.. Tend to have racks etc. on them as well.
  8. Just wondering... If you had a Jailbroken iTouch or iPhone with displayout or some other dispay mirror tool installed, could you use these 3 plugs in the arm rest with an apple AV composite output cable, to mirror the apple device on the nav screen using the AV source? If so, then you could get one of the AV cables with the built in USB charger to give a charging solution as well.
  9. Yes the windscreen is only $295... But the windscreen mouldings are a special order from Japan and about $400, apparently... O'Briens replaced mine, guys initially turned up (2 vans), as arranged through Shannons with the correct screen, no tinted strip either but they had warned me, but... They would not install it... The guys said that they would most likely have to break the plastic surround mouldings to get the screen out, and that the generic ones would look rubbish. They rang their call centre to discuss, and collected the VIN number again, both Japanese and AUS versions. The call centre rang back later to see if I knew any Nissan dealers that might help as they got the run arround from the parts departments. Told them to contact Ferntree Gully Nissan and parts were ordered later that day... 5 Weeks later, they rang to say that the parts had arrived and to book and appointment. One van this time, screen and new moldings installed in a little over an hour, mirror installed correctly and even stuck the eTag holder back on... Was very happy with the results.
  10. Ran like a dream thanks Scott. Temp gauge sat where it is supposed to the whole way home. Also drove across all possible bumps to give it all a good shake for bubble movements.. Swapped out the battery, and as expected the little window was showing bright red... New battery has restored normal starting..
  11. I didn't do anything.... But Scotty saved me by sourcing and fitting a new rad this afternoon, after mine decided it no longer wanted to keep the water on the inside... Bleeding the cooling system is a biatch... Good to finally meet Aaron as well after all these years.. Thanks again mate!!!
  12. Hmm.... what to get... a quick Mitsu.. Evo or VR4 Galant.... Na sod it, I'm an AR-X owner and proud to drive on stilts... So that will be... Territory Turbo....
  13. Yes because you'll be using them now Cam... The ones in the floor are cargo restraints, not the child tether/latch ones.. Please, please, please do not use them... If you are in an accident, the legal ramifications are not worth thinking about... Same issue as using an isofix or EU approved child seat in AUS.. Please just don't do it... It's like the ADR's BS regulations to protect "Australian Interests" However, there is light at the end of the tunnel, and potentially the EU regs will be allowed from 2014.
  14. Good job mate... Pre-eclampsia? Both of mine were 3 weeks early, 1 induced, 1 all on his own... But it did make for an easier delivery and small very cute babies... In fact, they still are..
  15. You took the car to a Volvo service centre.....
  16. I need to pull the boot apart to install the actuator for the VSS muffler I bought from Chasta.. Lining this up as a pre-Christmas bludge day project... Whilst I am mucking about in that part of the car, what the hell, how about some cheap Chinese eBay parking sensors... Questions... Is there a feed to the reversing lights somewhere in the boot area, rather than having to get into the tailgate to pick up the feed? What wire do I cut to disable the reversing alarm, as I think I am know old enough to know if the car is in reverse or not... Black sensors fitted in the bumper, or silver sensors fitted in the "bumper panel" mounted on the boot lid? Think that is it for now... Thanks for looking.
  17. What type of stock head unit? 6 disc or single disc? If it is a 6 disc those extra plugs might be for your climate control...
  18. I love those machines.... One on every corner, and all 100% working.. not possible here or in the UK...
  19. Great.... Now all I want is a can of hot coffee.....
  20. Free bump... Would swap you the XC90 in our family but the wife would kill me... Just as a recommendation on the XC90's stay away from T6's, as they will eat the gearbox at some stage in its life. The D5 is a slug so avoid unless you are doing big kms. The T5, like ours, or the 3.2's, if I could have afforded it, seem to be the go... Been very happy with it, as you will be.. The Pathy is a tank in comparison, we looked at them as well... Good luck with the sale...
  21. Roll on Melbourne cup....
  22. Pretty certain that it was an accessory... Quite a common one, but not everyone has it.. Look out for a small press button by your right knee.
  23. Also a worry as isn't an immobiliser supposed to be installed as part of compliance? I know my R33 and M35 both had something installed by the compliance guys...
