Hi All, Does anyone in Vic have a V35 coupe mid pipe taking up space in the shed/garage? I think it would be better utilised under my M35 Stagea Am happy to pay and collect it. Hope someone can help. Nick.

Sorry Cam... Couldn't wait... Wife got 3 seperate speeding infringement notices in the post today... All on Eastlink over a 1 week period before Christmas. Over $500 and 5 points as well... Cruise was fitted and installed in the Stagea 2 hours later... Just need to teach her now to use the cruse on the XC90 now... She is also now terrified of the postman... Hi Lean, Cruise fitted and works great!! Thanks again for that. Just need a quick re-adjust on the angle of the stalk, but that is only a few screws to get at. Also took the opertunity to fit a long overdue replacement pollen filter, when I had the passenger side apart.. Nick

Getting back to Volvos.... We now have two in the family... Well a silver/grey M35 does count as a XC70 really... Finally after 160k the wifes Saab 9-5 is now gone, and replaced with this... Still a 2.5 and a turbo... Kids are loving the DVD in the back and the space... But number 1 daughter still wants to go in "daddy's fast car".. Have to keep my little girl happy.. -

Which ones did you get? -
Hi MIchael and welcome to the forums.. The current 2010 MY 3.7s have Isofix fitted as standard, in the same way that lots of Japanese, Korean and EU cars do in AUS... However, it is illegal to own and use an Isofix car sear in AUS. This is because the powers that be have decided that Australia knows better than most of the rest of the world and that child seats held in with shortened seatbelts and a top teather is safer... No problems with the top tether, and infact it is part of the new isofix standard, but in my experience, AUS childseats rely on the 3 point belt basically being as short as possible, making it a nightmare.. At least in my Stagea it has the system that when the seat belt is pulled out to its longest position it automatically locks as it gets shorter. Mate of mine has a Disco4 and C-Class and wanted to get an isofix seat from the UK for easy swapping between the two cars... Both Merc and Land Rover, as well as his insurance company, implied that God forbid they have an accident, that he would be in a world of pain should anything happen to the kids as their seats were not AUS stamped approved... V36 3.7 would tick a lot of my boxes as well, and if I had the money, a G37 Infinit is only a year away from local sale...

Hey got my R33 4dr from them... Shane was a complete gent to deal with and they sorted out a couple of issues without batting an eyelid.. Even showed me around their arrivals yard and compliance workshops... If I end up in an ElGrand I know where I'm buying it... :-)

Saw Andy, I think, yesterday morning just around the entrance to the Cross City tunnel near Darling Harbour... Was so suprised to see a lowered silver AR-X with lattice wheels, I nearly missed the entrance to the tunnel... Didn't wave as I was driving a white Barina sedan.... There is a very good reason why Daewoo do not exist any more.... Thanks Holden... :-)

Exchanged waves with Aaron on the old Princes Highway, Saturday afternoon, just before Fountain Gate.. Wife menitioned how much better my car would have looked in black, like that one... Replied but it would look much less Volvo XC70 like than my silver AR-X...

That's who I had my 1 hour trial lession with.... 43 minutes of "stick" time for about $320... Also used a Schweizer 300 with proper controls and not some R22 Y yoke thing... Need to do it again soon...

Err... Sorry mate... It is how they work... That is why there is the big hoo haa with airbag bull bars for Patrols, LandCruisers and the like... There has to be enough energy getting though to the crash sensors in order for them to know that the car is crashing and so deploy the airbags.. When airbags were first fitted to large, aftermarket bull bar equipped 4x4's there were some horrific incidents where people were killed or badly injured because the airbags did not deploy during a frontal crash.. ARB website info about air bags Have a good think about it before you do anything too drastic..
