I have O'Briens ordering windscreen mouldings from them for me as well... Thank god for Shannon's, I know that the new screen will not have the tinted strip but at least i will not get the generic mouldings... The installers were really good as well, arrived with the Skyline windscreen and went, yup that'll fit. but after 5 mins said that they would not install it as the current mouldings would split on removal and generics would look sh1t. They had already called their office and was told that they did not have any mouldings in stock and that Nissan would not supply them, as it was an import. Told them to speak to FTG Nissan as I knew that they would be able to order them.. Said they would pass that on.. Got a call yesterday saying that FTG were out of stock, like they were going to have them..., but they could order them in. Said that I thought that would be the situation, so O'Briens have now placed an order for the mouldings, and will be back in contact when they arrive. Lesser insurance company would have insisted on using the generics, and O'Briens are giving me a voucher for free chip repair, that can be used on any vehicle, for the incovenience...

M35 Dash Mount Media Computer
nickcorr replied to scotty nm35's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Just got myself a Optus Tab, for $199 with 3Gb allowance it was hard to not buy it... Loving it, has GPS, with Beta Nav software, WiFi and 3G connections. Got it working with my work and personal e-mail in about 5 minutes. Daughter has her wiggles videos on it, and loves playing Angry Birds (or naughty cops as she calls it). It even has a radio on it and I could connect it into the car for music etc using the AUX inputs on the PA-15. Looks like I can get a headrest bracket for her on the bay so she can use it as a DVD for long journeys and battery is way better than any portable DVD I have seen so far.. -
God damn kids!!!

Clearly had no idea of the amount of love and money invested in that bonnet.....

Yes make sure you tell them about the brakes being 350Z so that they know what to compare them against for the inspection when you get your SA rego... Actually when my car went over the pits in Vic for the roadworthy it failed, because of excessive play in the steering rack end joints.. Northshore got the parts sent down from Qld in a couple of days and no problems after that mechanically...

nickcorr replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I also have this ioniser on my M35... Been trying to find the correct filter for years!!! Reckon I will measure it and try the Ryco cataloge, when I can find the old one.. Pulled them out and replaced with normal filter when I bought the car... -
PRADO!!!!! Cam how could you... not even a Patrol... You know that when the Prado craps its transmission and axles there are kits available to install Patol items.. Instant upgrade...

We really should all be ganging up on the Holden Sportwagen owners... Those poor buggers are swanning around in a car with less usable space, performance, ergonomics, toys, decent transmission etc... than any of us C34 and M35 owners... Whilst I have an M35, I still love that RB tractor motor, it's ease of working on and the huge number of cheap parts and bolt ons for it... Really need to get a 260RS as well...

How Do You Replace The Front Bulbs On An M35 Stagea?
nickcorr replied to samuri's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Most manufacturers do not need to submit vehicles to pass ADR, from a crash test and emissions point of view, as they already meet the Euro specs and the ADRs are in the main, based on the Euro regs. The main ADR specific changes are for the child seat mounts and variable dashboard illumination plus all the little pissy bits. They just submit their Euro aproved test results and it gets approved by Canberra.. They are even allowed to leave the ISOFix seat mounts in the cars (Subaru, Audi, BMW, Merc, Land Rover etc.) even though they are technically illegal under ADR. Some of the ADR documents are copied from Europe even have the Euro (UNECE) numbers in them... ADR for Xenons -

Its Time To Say Good Bye To My M35 Stagea
nickcorr replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Great cars the Murano, but less good if you have small kids. The car seat tethers are mounted on the rear edge of the boot, so if you have child seats fitted the straps run across your entire boot... Nissan knew about this being an issue on the old Micra's, so made sure it was fixed on the new ones. Unfortunately Holden did not do the same research, so the Barina Spark joke boot, becomes unusable if you have little kids.. These Aussie only regs sometimes trip people up come compliance time... -
I used to have one of them as well, well a 3.0 S Touring... It was my first Nissan and the car we bought 10 years ago when I first arrived in AUS... Put 160,000 km on it in 7 years, it never missed a beat and did a solid 9 l/100km.. Only sold it because of the mileage and we were pregnant with our first and wanted something a bit safer. Traded it, and a 94 Micra, for 7K on a 99 Saab 95 SE, which is the wifes car.. Was only supposed to be a stop gap before she got a Territory, but once she was in the Saab and I upgraded my R33 for the M35, didn't see any need... Both kids fit in the back of both cars without any problems, and still room for 3 adults...

So the BC suspension seems to be the best value at the moment... But.... Can you fit it to a AR-X? and has any AR-X owner fitted a RS/RX spec suspension..

M35 Rear Glass Hatch Section Not Opening
nickcorr replied to wht510's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Mine has never worked either... Ben from Northshore sent me a brand new release button, that I did manage to fit (only time the rear glass has ever openned), but that did not make a difference.
