  1. Yes Welcome!! What version did you get? And where are you based?
  2. Saw a white M35 RS, Aero pack I think, in Beaconsfield, just past Aldi. So suprised I near fell over..
  3. Fingers crossed for you that it all finally comes together...
  4. I just fitted one of these into my M35 Century Battery Under AUD 100 from Bursons. Fitted the higher CCA and longer warranty one in my old R33 GTS-t, but that was not in stock at Bursons, and was AUD 40 more expensive in Super Cheap so went with the 2 year warranty one.
  5. Had my daughters capsule in the back of my old GTS-t several times, with no problems at all, but it was easier to use the side mounts rather that the central one for the teather. I did have a 4 door, but that really is not the point here... Actually, a 2 door car is stronger than the 4 door version of the same vehicle. You have all the structural metal near the rear seats, which in a 4 door, is the rear door... The other point is that you are actually less likely to have the accident in the first place.. By owning a Skyline, you show that you actually enjoy cars, and therefore look after it better than most, get it serviced and make sure that the tyres are safe. You also have brakes and a chassis of much higher quality than certainly the Holden equivalent.. You enjoy the car, and spending time with you Sis and Nephew.. As for the pretend Brother in Law, leave him to play with his Daewoos... after all, that is what most Holdens are..
  6. Well that was fun... not..... LED lights now installed and looking closer in colour to the HID headlamps... Took about 30 minutes to do both, but have removed skin on both hands... but if the bulbs blow, they ain't coming out... This is not a job for 6'4" people with large hands...
  7. So did you try to reprogram it anyway?
  8. Wow!! and people worry about the M35 turbos...
  9. Citroens back to the DS had similar units for the suspension, brakes and power steering.. A decent Citroen independent might be able to help as well.. I know the guy I used in the UK on mine, had is own machine for testing and re-pressurising the accumulators. (7 on my Xantia up to 13 on the Activas...)
  10. and same as Commowhore....
  11. Here are the official numbers... 9 km/l (11.1 l/100km)for 2.5t AWD vs 10 km/l (duhh 10 l/100km) for 2.5 Di AWD. here is the full list.
  12. Would something like this be suitable? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-REMOTE-KEY-F...=item35a63f35bf Or are the UK ones competely different?
  13. Yup.. Same as a Magna... Hence platinum plugs (100,000km life) for the rear bank of cylinders, under the manifold, and normal plugs (30,000k) for the front... Had a mate who when his magna was serviced wondered why there were only 3 plugs listed in the parts fitted...
  14. it's okay chassis dyno... Rear wheels have been removed and the hubs are actually bolted to the dyno... Given that they advertise as Skyline specialists, I would imagine that this is farely normal for them... http://www.mgt-racing.com/
  15. Sounds like jealousy to me... Wifes SAAB does something similar in Sports mode, shortens up the pedal, and really does feel much sportier... Firms up the shift points for the auto as well.. Wish we had that on the M35s.. Disco goes the other way, and has off road mode... De-sensitises the throttle so that you don't launch the car over a hill if you accidently jab the loud pedal.
  16. Did someone say Lobster!!
  17. Yes the pick up is much better than previously, so fuel consumption not an issue, just enjoying it... But going down to the Valley at the weekend so will see how it does then..
  18. Lovely job thanks Scotty.... He even trimmed the rubber edge on the bonnet...
  19. If your going to drive it back to NSW, you either need to arrange with the current owner to send the plates back to VIC from NSW so that they can claim back the Rego, or if you buy it unregistered in VIC you will need an unregistered vehicle permit to allow you to drive it without plates for a few days back to NSW. I think that you will need a roadworthy to get that done.
  20. Your not supposed to talk about that issue... Ze Germans haf spies everywhere...
  21. Our 8 year old cars still have more tech than a new GM... Cruse control with distance sensors anyone... Factory reversing Cameras... Proper Factory Sat Nav... Part time AWD... And our 5-speed gearbox wipes the floor with the 6-speed in the Commodores.. Unlike the Ford 6-speed, which is also used by Jag and BMW, the unit used by GM feels like it is from a decade ago.. Don't know about yours, but part throttle changes are so smooth on my ARX... Even full throttle changes are nicely controlled, with engine and transmission speaking to each other fluently.
  22. That's the one that Northshore fitted to my car... 363PPi
  23. You only need to ask on this forum, how many of us from all across the country are driving around in M35's imported by Ben... They even have mechanics who know these vehicles well.
  24. Looks like a motion sensor upgrade for the alarm... I have the rest of that pack installed on my AR-X with the auto folding and dipping for reversing mirrors.. Both really cool and useful.
