  1. Yes I was thinking the same... That would explain why it is so well installed, althought it is an 03 unit but the car is an 01, so it was not fitted new. Looking at that brochure, loads of the little things on my car are Nissan accessories, I had just assumed that they were aftermarket.. Now if only they could have ticked the Bose Audio and cargo net boxes whilst the car was still in Japan.... Just added them up, I got JPY 518,270 of accesories on my car... Would have been about AUD 7,000 in those days..
  2. I was wondering exactly the same... Looked like one of the "much more useful than OEM" Panasonic units, like mine.
  3. Okay then.... just never let me buy a used Dubai spec LHD conversion.... Sounds like another chain drive LHD-RHD steering wheel conversion job... and don't want to know how the brakes will be done.. even using a torsion bar arrangement to leave the master cylinder and servo in the origional position.. As for sharing parts, yes it does, lots of them, but only with other JDM RHD only cars.. But I do admire your spirit..
  4. Saw Silver M35 RX or RS joining the Monash from the South Gippy today around 4:30pm. I was travelling the other way from melbourne. Was so shocked, forgot to wave... Was almost like driving towards a mirror, except that I have bigger wheels, am higher off the ground, and have grey cladding, but appart from that, exactly the same...
  5. I'm quite lucky in that whilst tall, my arms, legs and body length are all in proportion relative to each other.. Means I can basically get clothes and suits off the peg I only look freaky tall when I have 5ft Chinese cousins photographed with me.. In the R33, head just touched the roof, but that was a 4dr, which is slightly bigger than the 2dr. In the Stagea, no problems at all, I even have the power seat up a bit for comfort, I'm sure if I had sunroofs, things would be tighter...
  6. Well with my well padded 6'4" frame tucked inside my M35, my arms are comfortably bent.. Never really wanted the steering wheel any closer, but in the XR6 rental I had in Sydney the other week, had the steering wheel as close to me as possible... Must mean that the Falcon dash is further away than the Stagea... As for the R33 lack of room, both leg and arm, is the reason why I no longer own one...
  7. Is it shuddering like torque steer shuddering? Snow mode engages the 4wd, like a centre diff lock, and makes the car drive off in 3rd or 4th gear. All of this would make the car shudder at low speeds especailly in a tight bend, but I think it all disengages above 40Kph.
  8. Okay so one in the dump, one in the front pipe, just looked under the car to see one, and feel the other... So where does Northshore, and I assume other compliance workshops, fit the third one mentioned in the CIN?
  9. RAWS Consumer Information Notice for my car states that 3 new cats were fitted at compliance Two have the same part number and I assumed are in the manifolds area and the other third one, I also assume, would have been between the dump and the jumbo mid muffler..
  10. Plus the two in the exhaust manifolds (headers)... one on each side... Need to have one in the manifold to be a LEV (Low Emissions Vehicle). These ones are supposed to remove all the nasties before the engine warms up properly..
  11. So how much do you want for the rear muffler? Given how huge the centre muffler is, not sure how much of a restriction it is, but it would be absorbing a tonne of energy/sound. Would imagine that the bulk of restriction would be in the 4 cats before you get to the centre muffler...
  12. Don't reckon that a Liberty is going to be any bigger than a M35... Also, be prepared to lube up well for the Subaru dealer..
  13. I agree... No click generally means bad solenoid.. Either get it fixed, or carry a large screwdriver like IAMHE77 to bypass it...
  14. Is it even possible to get a straight 6 under the M35 bonnet?
  15. Check your spam filter...
  16. Yup, me too.... Any idea what we are getting?
  17. Really does sound like you need to get it on a dyno sooner rather than later.... Need to check the A/F ratios as the new exhaust has made an existing problem worse with the increased flow.. Are you running JDM cats and pipes or some buggered compliance set up? Any high end misfire could be a whole heap of things but also could be the engine leaning out.. If this happens too much then there is a good chance of the engine going pop with holes in pistons etc.. It might also have killed some of the cats and maybe the O2 sensors if neat fuel is getting though the system during a misfire. You're getting good fuel consumption so you know that it's not overfueling like most Nissan turbos.
  18. Any other AR-X's?
  19. Yeah, I was going to ask as well.... Welcome to the club Michael, but I do think I am getting heavily out numbered by you low slung guys.. Any other tall boy AR-Xs in Vic? Just means we will need to arrange a cruise with a whole heap of speed bumps, or somewhere where my rear LSD helps... Jumping on the kerosene budge in a a few hours so should be back home 24 hours later in time to take the old girl out for a drive... Better say hi to the family as well....
  20. No, next time I am over at Nissan Aus I'm going to race it against their Z's... They use them as business card holders... Will do the same..
  21. Got it!! Ebay link to AR-X
  22. Maybe I'll put off buying and fitting the SMD LED parkers to match the Xenons then...
  23. Got to get me one of these..... Do they come in Silver?
  24. Currently in the UK, but will let you know when I am back... Keep an eye out for a silver ARX, it should be locked in the garage....
  25. Hi Scotty, if you still need to see an ARX, let me know...
