  1. Very noice..... and if I may ask, what did that cost you? Also, which of the XForce Mufflers is that one? Much as with my R33, the fake trims on the dual pipes is starting to get to me, different is that with the R33, a swap to a full GT-R cat-back with proper dual pipes was only $120 and 1 hours work fitting it away..
  2. Yes, I think that will be my first proper mod, as the return on investment seems excellent. Just have to put it off for a while as I still have the unexpected Goodyear Eagle F1's to pay for this month, and I need to get the iPod kit ordered from the US and installed. Reckon I can get these sway bars fitted myself, with the help of a set of body stands and a jack. SK's instructions look good and clear. So get the tyres paid for, tunes sorted, handling fixed... Then we can think about more powa... Maybe CES will be up to speed on M35 dumps by then...
  3. Selby website still have M35 and C34 swaybars listed... Search for Nissan Stagea AUD 250+GST for each end for us M35s... a whole heap of choices for the C34 guys.. Would the M35 units be the same as what Andy has on his car? And are they suitable for ARX and other M35 versions..
  4. M35 custom dump should be something like this... M35 Dumps I assume that the CES one would be similar.
  5. I'll keep my eye out for you... I'll be the guy in the silver ARX... often on the Monash/Princes highway, but also parked in Berwick, Packenham and Fountain Gate...
  6. These are actually quite interesting and the features are available on some cars as OEM features. For example, on my wife's SAAB 9-5, when you press the Sport button on the gear shift, not only does it select a more agressive program for the transmission, but also for the drive by wire throttle, with a much smaller pedal movement leading to full opening of the throttle. This really does make the car feel much more spritely, but it also increases the fuel consumption quite dramatically.... Lots of other Euro's have this as well. Going the other way, Landrovers have the opposite. When low ratio is selected a much less sensitive throttle map is applied to that if the pedal is accidently floored, because you hit a bump when off roading, it does not apply the entire V8 supercharged grunt. Should the throttle be held to the floor, rather then just jabbed, then the requested power will be applied to the wheels..
  7. All the info on this subject is here..... But your not going to like it... Click here
  8. VL Commodore water pump, off the RB30, is a direct replacement for the one on the RB25DET. Cost me about AUD 80 from Repco when I had the 100k service done on my R33. The GT-R timing belt was also a direct fit...
  9. Actually spotted two... My silver one and your blue one... Really confused the neighbours... mine being silver with grey cladding is obviously a Volvo XC70, but your blue one with the funky wheels and exhaust that got them...
  10. Ah yes, us Aussies with our Turbos get the 17s on RS/RX and 18s on the AR-X, but the Kiwi's can have a NA 2.5 Direct injection which comes with 16" wheels on both 2wd and 4wd RS and RX models. And in 2wd, they also only get a 4 speed gearbox...
  11. For M35 16" wheel, OEM size is 205/65R16 with 95 load rating and S speed rating. Should be dirt cheap to replace...
  12. Finally spotted in my driveway.... A fully VIC registered silver AR-X with brand new, very expensive tyres....
  13. As we all know, quoted power output of M35 is 206kW. This equates to 280bhp, which was Japanese gentlemans agreement for power output... But really, how much power does it have... Anyone put one on a dyno?
  14. Gotta get me a Raizer Type-B.... Always been a fan of the oval tailpipe... Just need to get work to send me to Japan... Fingers crossed...
  15. Not an option for us AR-X and also the RX owners... In-dash 6 disc changer.... Needs some serious aftermarket panels to get that audio out and replace with a DIN/ISO standard unit that fits the RS....
  16. Well the good news is that they know what it is... The bad news is that they don't make them anymore, they take an existing one (in stock), and modify it to the correct specs (required parts not in stock). To do that, they need to order parts from Japan... 2 week wait... Let's hope Ben can find one..
  17. I think that one of them might be offering its rear window switch for my car anyway... Went to collect mine from Ben last week, and we all discovered that whilst the boot opens fine, the window does not... It is just one of those things that maybe you use, maybe you don't, but if it doesn't work I know that I will need it one day...
  18. Well I did get talked into it... Now the proud owner of a shiny, unregistered AR-X... Flipping RWC.... NSW one was fine, Vic, less so... Anyone got a spare right hand tie rod lying around...
  19. and that was off a.....
  20. My new ARX has failed the Vic RWC as it "needs a new" RH tie rod... Ben at Northshore, who I bought the car from, is trying to find one, but if he has problems, does anyone know if any Aus delivered Nissan would use the same part? Open to any suggestions...
  21. BMW used to be the wrong way around, push + pull -, but they saw the light several years ago and corrected it to push - pull +. Ford and Mazda have always been the correct way. Stems back to Audi, who basically invented this, with Porsche, on the Tiptronic. Their mentality was that you push forward to change into first and the seed was sown.. They also knew that some people would not like that, so offered, as a cost option, gearshift buttons on the wheel... It is a feature used to get people into auto's, who previously would only drive manuals. They still think that they have control. As transmissions get cleverer, with more and more gears (7 for merc, 8 for Lexus) there will be less and less convenitional manuals, with automated manuals, such as DSG, and very computer controlled autos, becoming the norm.
  22. VQ40 in the Pathy.. and the Navara, both with manual or auto. Murano is FWD based and uses the same CVT as the Maxima, so no go there.
  23. I got auto folding mirrors...... and an ioniser, that we pulled out after 5 minutes of ownership.. Momo half wood steering wheel, wood trim centre console, Panasonic sat/nav, that is circa 2003, in a 2001 car, wind deflectors, including rear one on boot, also number plate trims that are now stored in the boot, as a VIC numberplate is too wide to use it... and the usual non funtioning 6-disc CD with ER0 message... Still love it...
  24. Only two sleeps to go.. Then I will be a NSW M35 owner for about 12 hours... Then I will the other VIC M35 owner on the forum... Should mention, that I did see a M35, not blue in colour, past Fountain Gate the other week... so there are more out there..
  25. I belive that this should help you out... Click here... My AR-X, which I am collecting next week, is equiped with a Panasonic CN-DV150D TV/Sat-Nav, so this was part of my homework.. I reckon I might be able to plug a iPod video into the AV input on this thing, whilst pushing the audio out to the OEM audio through one of the USDM solutions..
