Brake Disc + Pads for my 07 V36 Skyline
nickcorr replied to magellows's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Try Brakes Direct in QLD. Brakes that fit V36 sedan with single piston calipers. They have the front and rear discs plus pads. Can do OEM or something a bit better. -

Got any links? -
Sorry the V36 comment threw me... If your V35 has keyless entry, which the pic above seems to indicate, then it looks the same as the V36 one.. It is different to the AUS ones, in that they have a 4th button for the horn/alarm deterrent thing... $260 for the fob sounds about right, and the programming could be around $150. It will need consult and possibly a key generator. Maybe ask the Stagea guys as some of the PM35s would have keyless entry.

V35 or V36? I got my new V36 fob brand new from Japan via someone on this forum, and it was reprogrammed by my importer using a generic key programmer. The hard bit was getting the key code generated. He put the number written on the immobilizer box into an XP based piece of software to generate the code the programmer needed.

V36 2008 350Gt Sedan Steering Shake While Braking?
nickcorr replied to Forged's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
They exist!! Even look to be the correct size!! Timing could have been a little better as the car was at the mechanics being serviced last Monday... -
The rear suspension of the Z33 350Z is the same as the M35 Stagea, the V35 Skylines, Y50 Fuga's and even E51 El Grands (plus the SUV versions)... The Y50 was available with dual exhausts, hence the swaybar fits the Stagea. However the Z34 370Z rear suspension is the same as the V36 Skyline, Y51 Fuga (AUS Infiniti Q70), plus SUV models and so different to the M35 Stagea, and will not easily fit.. Looks like you need an uprated Y50 one to give you what you need... Might also need to move your carbon canister to fit the extra muffler in... Sure that Cam had to muck about with something like that when he installed his dual exhausts...

2006 250GT Aux/16 pin connector
nickcorr replied to Huskian's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I think that cable is only for vehicles that already have a factory Nissan Japan TV set up. Is it to add RCA inputs into the TV tuner, and I think is mainly for M35 Stagea and V35 Skylines. As far as I am aware, all V36 models with and without Nav, have RCA connectors in the arm rest. If they are not there, then someone has opened up the armrest and repurposed them for some other input to the factory display screen. Pretty certain that when I had it all apart to fit my cruise control and tv screen on all the time cable, there were no spare inputs on the back of the head unit. -
Or maybe just easier to install a frequency expander into the radio antenna as was fitted on my last 2 cars at compliance...

Brake pads for Skyline V36 sedan
nickcorr replied to R377's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Yes for the Coupes, same as the Aussie 370Zs. Brakes Direct definitely stock/order DBA, and this is what I have on order from them for my car. -
Brake pads for Skyline V36 sedan
nickcorr replied to R377's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
These are the two brakes that were fitted on the V36 sedans from factory. The 3.5 and earlier 3.7 to at least 2009 MY (my car) run the 330 mm disc and single piston calipers. The later cars, maybe from 2010 when they had the facelift and proper foglights, got the 320 mm disc and 2 piston calipers. No Akebonos from factory on the V36 sedans. -

V36 2008 350Gt Sedan Steering Shake While Braking?
nickcorr replied to Forged's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Nearly available.... DBA have them in the catalogue now, but not quite in production. I have an order in with Brakes Direct in QLD for DBA 4000 T3. On contacting DBA directly, I was told that they had nothing suitable... Apparently Brakes Direct have been following up with DBA for years and the penny finally dropped that these are a standard G35/G37 disc too and so it now becomes viable. -
V36 2008 350Gt Sedan Steering Shake While Braking?
nickcorr replied to Forged's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
So how big are they? If they are the 330, then there is a very limited choice of discs that fit. If they are 320, then a much wider choice. -

No Brembo's on a V36..... -
Brake pads for Skyline V36 sedan
nickcorr replied to R377's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
The early sedan's have large single pot front calipers running a 330x32mm rather than the expected twin pot caliper on a 320x28mm disc. This means different front discs and pads. The rear discs are also different sizes, bigger on the old cars, but seem to be the same pads... I have attached some data from the Infiniti service manuals. Give Brakes Direct a call, they have pads for both fronts, but currently only the smaller front discs. -
It appears to be part of the "Nissan" alarm, so has some third party box of tricks installed.
-
Yes I was "Lucky" enough to have one of these with my car... Allows me to start the car and open the doors, but does not let me drive it, as it is not a proper smart key. It mainly seems to be for turning on the upgraded alarm.. Could not find any info on it, from Nissan or Infiniti, but did find out that Mitsubishi used the same system... I have attached the instructions for interest... remote start manual 2011-10-20_234333_981f2d01.pdf

V36 370gt third brake light
nickcorr replied to chadchook's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Or maybe you had a factory wing which the 3rd brake light was mounted in... My R33 sedan had a blanking plate in the parcel shelf where the light should have been, and LEDs in the edge of the spoiler. -
I assume that you are doing this for the look and the sound of a pod, as I under the impression that the stock dual intakes can flow enough air to support a reasonable level of engine mods. Also worth being a little careful of oiled filters and the air sensors... They have been known to get upset if coated in oil...

I also thought this when I got mine, then I remembered the stylish analogue clock that the car is also fitted with... Great for teaching the kids how to tell the time....

Bluetooth Music Streaming On V36 Coupe
nickcorr replied to simon.zhurka's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
The confusion is that there are two sets of Bluetooth menus... There is the one under phone for setting up hands free etc. This is covered in the translation document pinned to the forum. But then you need to find the bluetooth menu from the Audio menu, to set up the music streaming... To be honest it is quite similar to the G37 as many of the menus are the same, just in a different language... -
V36 Nav And Language Swap - Faq
nickcorr replied to Chris Rogers's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Pretty certain that it is not possible to change the audio and nav system in a V36 JDM Skyline into English. What is possible is to replace it with the unit from an AUS/NZ Infiniti G37 either from scrap yard or Infiniti OEM parts. This can also involve changing out the screen and other hardware rather than just simply changing the head unit... Unfortunately not like the V35s where the unit could be flashed with some custom firmware, created in Russia. -
The 2012's are starting to be imported and listed at low 20k's too.... The 2010MY newer is unfortuately a significant jump forward in interior and exterior finessing and so will also push down the values of the older V36's.
