What other quality wastegate brands are available besides Tial and Turbo Smart ?

I really enjoyed the incar footage. It seemed way better than lst year. All we have to do is find a way to block out the ridiculous ravings of the commentators, I wish they would just SHUT UP.

Agreed, Street car has 265/35/18's rear and 235/40/18 front. Is very twichy ride without weight in the back. Dont think the variable rate Eibach/AGX suspension helped it much on the track. Track car has Hoosier slicks 245/40/18's front and rear. Will be interesting when its done see what its like. Suspension is expensive Proflex monotube coil overs with whiteline sway bars. BTW your R32 looks pretty FAT with that rubber -

Its a weight distribution issue. 2+2 is 48/52 2 seater is 45/55. A street car on the track could be a handfull. I know last time I went to Winton in my street car. I pulled the stereo equipment out of the back. Big mistake. It was a handfull, but very easy to drift around corners. As I said before, if you can get the weight distribution right it shouldnt be any worse than the 2+2. In fact it ishould be way more nimble. So take as much weight as possible out the front and between the axels and move as much as possible behind the rear axel. Problem solved and a lighter car. IMO 50/50 is obtainable. yeah I like 2 seaters better as well. Looks better balanced and more like a 240z style car instead of a BOAT like a 2+2. -
Ok final design is Aeromotive #11101 120 GPH pump 10AN in and out, SX Fuel reg 10AN in and 6AN out. 2 litre swirl pot. Stock fuel tank with stock pump for lift pump. Overkill maybe but cant get too much fuel. Plenty of headroom for future up grades. Now to go through the pile of AN fittings I have, figure out what I need and weld up the fuel compartment.

Well the Z32 came in 2 versions 2 seater and 2+2 which was 120mm longer wheel base. AFAIK there where no hard top 2+2. All where targas. The weight distribution on the 2 seater is slightly worse than the 2+2 BUT it also weighs over 60KG less. And being a hard top it even lighter losing another 30 KG. So basically as much weight as possible out of the front and between the axels. Then leave the back alone shoving as much as possible rearward. 4WD is cool when its a GTR. I just like Z32's and love RWD. Most of the useless weight in a Z32 is creature comfort stuff. I dont have any of that. I am hoping it will be ready to go by the time we get Superlap down here and will enter Marque sport in the meantime. I have a huge pile of nice bits to bolt on when the workshop is cleared out. -

LMAO, I look forward to making you eat them words with the race zed at 1100KG in a few months JP laughs when I tell him mine will be lighter than the slot car. Short wheel base, hard top FTW -

Holy crap !! That looks really tough !! Lot of people think R33's are a bit heavy. But I just love the look of a R33 GTR. If ya love it who cares !! -
These things can be fixed. My road car was a wreck and had chassis rails bent on both sides which had to be fixed. Here's how far I had to go to fix it. Find a good panel beater. See Sig pic. Its good as new !

What's The Sweet Spot For Ride Height?
Tektrader69 replied to MrStabby's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Many people forget that as the lower cross member lowers it can badly affect the rear tow and cause a raft of issues. At stock height for example. If the wheel raises or lowers the rear tow could for example change by 1 degree in and out as the wheel rises and falls. If you lower the car to extremes you will probably get assymetrical tow changes causing crappy bump steer performance. The best way to lower the car without causing this is, lower suspension arms like the Ikeya items which lower the bottom ball joint leaving the suspension geometry as per stock -
Z32 Afm Alternative Help Plz!

This is not right. There are quite a few Z32's with 320RKW + that still use a Single MAF -
But with less torque LOL

OK I am going to buy/pickup a pair of 044's next week. Anyone else want any while I am there ?
-
Sorry, they are genuine. I buy a lot of these sorts of things for the workshop. These come straight from Bosch via my vendor. You would not beleive how many hands these goods go through till most people buy them at silly prices. I have been selling a lot of Nissan replacement parts for the last few years mainly for the zed community. CAS, MAF'S, Injectors, connectors, Coil packs PTU's etc Prices have always been very keen. I have gotten to know the vendor very well through this.
-
I have been looking into fuel pumps. Best I can get genuine Bosch 044's for is $170 each cash. They dont really look much. The aeromotive A1000 isnt much more expensive and seems easier to fit up and more durable. HAs anyone used the Aeromotive, SV or Edelbrock high rate pumps? They look like they where made for drag racing. Should be bullet proof.
-
Ok sounds like a plan, Is foam filling of the tank really neccesary or required ? I dont seem to have much of a surge problem on the track with the road car and the stock tank.
-
I was thinking of reusing the two HICAS hard lines I have spare, to feed the fuel forward and return. With braided at each end. Is 8mm bore big enough for a feed line ? 2x 044's sounds doable. I can get Bosch pretty right. Any suggested Bosch part numbers for the low pressure feed pump ?? Question about tanks. The fuel tank in a 2 seater zed is forward of the rear axel. If I use the fuel cell it will be behind the axel. I am thinking the stock tank may be a better proposition weight distribution wize. What has to be done to the stock tank to make it suitable for use? Its actually quite deep and not very wide with a nicely formed sump.

Ok, Car is 300zx twin turbo, Power approx 450rwkw Injectors converted to 1000cc top feed running E85, Fuel consumption is high, 60 litres lasts approx 120klms at Winton long track. I have a 2 litre header and 57 litre fuel cell. Car is circuit racing only. Suggestions on lift pump and pressure pump would be appreciated. I will go read the R32 thread. thanks
-
Can someone point me in the right direction for info on fuel system design ?? I have a fuel cell, header tank but need info on pump placement, sizing, return lines or not etc etc
