  1. Cool, Anyone else coming ? I blocked out the weekend from outside renting so its definitely on. Has anyone got any PS3 driving games ? I just got a PS3 player but no driving games yet. I figure this could be hillarious to drive the track pissed from the arm chairs. I will take the PS3 down if someone has a game with the track on it. Dunc, PM sent about previous weeks accomodation.
  2. You are welcome Wayne. There is still a few spare beds. EDIT: I bumped it to the top as its getting close. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Au...Ch-t286024.html I couldnt get a start as I havent done a sprint in the last year cause I had no car. So I guess I will be pit crew and bartender.
  3. Dont know, had better check the surveilance tapes When I was cleaning up on Wednesday, They had left behind a big marquee tent thing in a bag. I called them and asked what they wanted me to do with it. They rebooked for Superbikes in Feb and also next years MotoGP and said "just leave it there till next year" So we will get to use that at the sprint day.
  4. Funny things happen, As you may know we have quite a nice hoiuse at Phillip Island which we rent out. Anyhow of course we had a booking for last week for the MOTOGP. Well I found out yesterday that the people who had been staying there WHERE CASEY STONERS PARENTS !! LOL So after his win they where all down there partying. Left an absolute shit load of booze behind The boys weekend in November for the Phillip Island sprints that a few are coming down for, is going to be pretty jolly indeed.
  5. Thing that pisses me off about the commentators is they are wearing RACE SUITS !!! WTF ??? And in general have no idea what they are talking about, So spew rubbish comments.
  6. This looks terrific, and I have a CAN buss feed that I can send it. I think I will get one. Camera issue Fixed by the looks of it.
  7. Thanks SAU, I got my used Re55's
  8. Is that in 5th gear Sav Man ?? And a GTR ? Have you changed the diff ratio or is that stock?
  9. I have a set of brand new Hoosier slicks for my car build. They are a not too expensive and the distributor is in NSW MAybe look into those if you want a reasonable set at a good price. http://www.hoosiertireaustralia.com.au/
  10. I have been using QFM A1RM pads for about 6 months on my road car whihc has done a few track days. I have had less rotor wear than with the ultimates I was using. There was on report about bad wear using those pads on a Z32 for road use and it was tracked down to the pads running too cool because of some ducting was keeping them from getting up to Temp. Plugging the ducting up cured the problem.
  11. Talking about used RE55's . anyone know where I can get a goos used paiur of 255/40/17's in Vic? I need a pair of rears for my standby set of wheels.
  12. 2 weeks ago i was down there for The Marque sports meeting. Holy crap it was cold, then hot, then wet, then windy , But mostly all 4 at the same time. Porsches looked very comfortable in the garages. The Mini's managed to get 3 in the garage end to end LMAO They have increased the paved area behind the garage by 2 times the old size last year. So even if you brought one of those car tents with you its quite civilized.
  13. This was my dream drive when i was 6 years old. My dad was working at Repco then and used to bring home heaps of stickers and posters for me. Still love the look even today. Would be an Awesome track car today. I just want one BAD. It is a very pretty car.
  14. LAst time I looked it was about $150 but you can fit 2 cars in it length ways. They are lockable and your car would be very safe there overnight.
  15. Its a 2 seater, and what you have outlined is exactly how I read the rules. In some ways its a pity the IPRA door is closed shut on Jap sports cars as most are heavier than sedans in any case. Thanks Gary When I get further along the assembly path I will examine the FIA group B rules and try to fit it into there. Or at least be easily reversable to fit in that catagory. Back to cages. Sorry Risking
  16. Bed or couch Kel ? Or are ya sharing with Dunc ?
  17. Its a bit over the top isnt it. Spose its the price you pay for probably the best track in Oz. It is by far the most expensive track day entry I have seen at P.I. I wonder if the costs at events like the Nissan nationals etc where subsidized. I will probably find out this year as I am going to join the P.I club instead of renewing NDSOC. 19. Got to do my entry too, I have to find a Sprint to go in before hand with the road car, as the others I have done are over 12 months ago and they want one other SPRINT in the last 12 months. Bugger. Who else is cummin ?
  20. I reckon you are right. A reletively heavy car and restrictors doesnt sound like much fun. Though i am hoping to cut it down to 1150kg through dieting. Mine and the car LOL. I was actually wanting the car for Time attack and Marque sports. So what it was originally intended for isnt so much of an issue for me. As long as I can easily convert it back to IPRA specs if need be, I will be happy.
  21. It was designed by an engineer who works at PWR, I have his contact details. Unfortunately I have no paper work on its construction etc. So I spose I will cross that bridge fairly soon. It was designed to be used in IPRA races. But I think they would have had a bit of trouble getting the car over the line for IPRA after reading the rules. I dont think a Twin turbo 300zx is possible for inclusion. I am due to start assembly in the next 4 weeks after not having a garage for the last 9 months.
  22. Gee Thanks, MOTEC for free= LMAO The cage was already in the car when i bought it as an unfinished project. Its a work of art. All chrome molly TIG welded, must have cost a fortune. Its very strong in the front with firewall and front cross brace going through to the front shocker towers. BTW Risking I am loving the thread. Should be more like this
  23. risking, you sure there is enough rearward room for your seat ? Seems awful close. Here's my cage. maybe not quite a strong vertically as what you have built but strong enough IMO, and behind seat room is maintained.
