What are the whites doing wrong with the gtr? last rally tas they crashed this one they blew an engine and in targa they blew a head gasket. What do you have to do to be a marshall for targa tim? Whats it like? do you see any of the action meet any of the people etc. Yeah wogboy Georgetown is a good day but if you have the time the sideling is the ducks nuts of targa. Checked yesterday and their are sixteen Skylines already entered in Targa 14 R's Looks like its gunna be another good year. Cheers Lavers

What happend to th whites gtr that was placed second on Saturday ? Hopefully not the same problem as happend last year in Targa. Who was the driver of the tilbrook r34? last year steven Glenney was the only one sponsored by them. Should meet up when Targa comes around. The best place i've found is on the sunday when they all go into scrutineering. Saw some mad beasts there last year. Not long to go till targa now. Cheers Lavers

Hi guys does anyone know anything else about the recall of Nissans. All I heard on the news was theat they were recalling around 2.5 million cars world wide from 25 different models which included the X-trail and Skyline. I am unsure about the 200sx and others. The build dates were from december 1998 till present. The problem apparantly is two faulty sensors that when heat up don't function and stop the car from starting. What does this mean for the owners of these cars. Any help appreciated thanks Thomas

Show sounds like a goer. Maybe we should try and get an imprt only area if we can get a definate number? Does it cost to enter the car if so how much? A definate on the date would be good as well as where it is being held. Cheers lavers

Does anyone have the dates for these races. I don't actually own a car yet(only 15 years old) but in a couple of months i'm taking possesion of dads supra. Also well done to the guy from devonport for winning the latest round does anyone know what happened to Jason White? we really should have organised this so we could all get together and watch targa. Lets get this thing happening soon

Sometime we should get together as a group and go for a cruise or something any ideas appreciated. Massive increase in skylines in tassie over this last year should try and get others involved. Please list where you live eg north or South or North west and what type of car u drive. Cheers

Jim is an amazing driver, his caris supported by porsche australia and has the best local knowledge and experience of any of the competitors. he also has an amazing driver navigator set up with Barry Oliver. But well done to the skyline an amazing effort, it looked extremelly well prepared and sounded amazing. had the chance to speak to steve and he sound like a top bloke. Lets hope for one better next year. munro how about u take down a gtr?
-
Martin if u can tell us how much power does glenneys car have? what mods did he have for targa? cheers.
-
Have to agree with martin's comments. Steve's car looked and sounded a magnificent package but just couldn't keep up the pace with Jim. After a speak with Barry it sounds that Jim wasn't pushing very hard at all. only on the Mount arrowsmith stage(his favourite of the event). The car was also set up to have an amazing pace in the dry. A big mistake if you look at Tasmanian weather this time of year. Steve definately had the general plan sorted (to finish first, first you must finish) this certainly applies to targa. It seemed he was just cruising on the first couple of days. The whites were pushing way to hard on day 4, it made for good viewing from a spectator point of view but we all new something had to give. Great result by a privater to come second behind jim though. Better luck next year.
-
Jason and John white were absolutely flying on Saturday fastest time on first four stages then blew a head gasket, they were on track to beat Jim as well. They said they will be back in the same car next year.
-
Sucked in brocky!!!!! what a dumb ass only put in half a litre of fuel for a v8 monaro, someones gotta get fired for that. Jason whites in a bit of sh1t as well punctured a tire and then missed all the stages up to lunch on the day. Jimmy is gunna win again. Wednesdays conditions were so bad Jimmy was only able to drive at 110 kmh on a 500m straight. 11 cars crashed out including the first gtr n1 to go this year, number 817 1997 gtr n1 driven by john Atherton and Ian Young, rolled it on a switch back corner in the wet 3km from the end of the sidling, roof bent to buggery front spoiler smashed and windscreen broken. All repairable and they hope to be able to run tommorrow. All our hopes rest with Steven Glenney, if anyone can do it he can. Check out the targa site has some sick pictures. Come on the GTR
