Hi guys just wondering which boost controller would be best a turbosmart or a GFB. the GFB is a little cheaper do they work just as good as the turbosmart controllers

well i do see some increase in power just after 2500 it isn't that bad that i have to drop down to first it still has pretty good pick up when i mean by full boost when i hit about 4000 that is really were it wants to take off and throws you back in your seat i was running 16psi but it seems that i didn't have a very good engine since that i have just had the engine pulled down for a rebuild. But i have taken my car up around olinda and the hills past ferntree gully and it was fine to drive not a problem. Even though the RB20 is a smaller engine they still have a little bit of pick up my mods a as follows: bosch 040 GT30BB bigger injectors fuel reg wolf 3D 3" turbo back FMIC POD 45mm waste gate Once i have done my rebuild i have been told should be able to get up to 240rwkw maybe with a good tune well thats what chasers think as i should be able to run a little more boost after it is run in as it is a fresh engine and i am putting aries forgies in

Hey black sky I have a GT30 on my RB20 reason being i got it for free so why not put it on. I like it the lag doesn't bother me that must in one way it is good because it is safer in the wet cause it doesn't want to boost every time you take off. My car hits full boost at about 4000rpm to 7200rpm it is quiet a big rush to i might add. it is also good because for just normal driving i can just cruise around with out it want to step out under boost all the time if you have your foot down, if you want to get into it i just boost up first and once you are out of first gear and change it will boost all the way through you gears if you keep your foot into it. It is all good and well to say get something smaller put if you got this at the right price why not put it on just mean you will start boost at 4000 instead of 3200 - 3500 with a smaller turbo. sorry i cant help you with the spec's as the guy that gave me mine didn't say much about it just that it was only 2000km old he did say that it was good for at least 500bhp. So put it on and good luck with it

yer i have pulled it out know it seemed that i have cracked one of the rings so i am still not sure if i was going to sell it the engine still runs fine just a little smoke thats why the price was pretty cheap i think i am going to keep it not sure if someone bought it they would proper have to just put new rings in not that expensive i dont think -

I have 2 amps for sale no longer need and i need the cash they are just sitting in my bedroom getting dusty work fine nothing wrong just need the money. First one is a BOSS 4*250watt amps great for running speakers nothing wrong works fine $100 Second one is a 4*150watt this amp is good for running speakers or subs this is a american very good brand AMA payed $450 asking $200ono near new in perfect working order. Also have 1 power cable which no longer need first person to buy a amp gets it for free please PM me if you are interested in any thanks

These are some parts off my R32 GTS-T that i know longer need as i have up graded and there for they are no good to me. Stock ECU working perfect nothing wrong $200 ono Stock AFM works fine nothing wrong $50ono 6* NRG platinum plugs only done 500km cost me $130 sell for $50 i was told not to run them when running alot of boost only just put them in so they will be no good for my next engine as i want to run alot of boost. RB20 engine works fine in car at the moment might need new rings little bit of smoke. i am upgrading with a strong rebuild to handle more power so it will be coming out this week $500. This is just the engine which mean no turbo manifolds or anythink like that. Reasons i am selling the ECU and AFM is because i am running wolf 3D now and no longer need them so they are in perfect working order just sitting around getting dusty. Yer guys the bugdet is a little tight but i still don't want to take short cuts and be stuck later on with the same problem. the problem is i don't get a warrenty with the 2nd hand motor as i am running that boost they said they won't warrent andthing over standard boost boooooo! so i am going to get the engine pulled apart and find out what the problem is and i am hoping that the cylinder haven't over sized and i can just replace the rings and be done with it and not the full rebild fingers crossed

HI guys need help it looks like i have done the rings in my car at the moment i am running 16psi with all the bolt on gear what should i do? Should i just buy a new second hand engine for about $800 and change them over or rebuild the one i have which is going to be about $2500+ all depends what i put in it any help would be great or advise what i should do but i don't want this to happen 6 months down the track because i am running to much boost or power. Should i just take the hit and spend the money?

Hello there i am about to replace my diff and was wondering what should i put in it I have R32 GTS-T, just want to know how much power can they handle at the moment i have 210rwkw but am hoping to get to about 230-240 maybe with this new fuel pump i am getting next week just want to know should i just put a newer RB20 diff in as i can get 1 for $320 fitted with 3 month warrenty or should i put something else in not sure what else fits thanks any help would be great

most of the the time you will lose boost when fitting the the FMIC not sure why it didn't do it straight away but it is good that you got the PFC, cause that way you can get it tuned lots of different places your not stuck for places for tuning as i don't know alot of places around me that remap ECU's just wait till you get you turbo then would get the injectors and FPR fit it all and then you should see 220+ rwkw running on fairly safe boost, even though i have heard of some guys on here running 20psi + for a couple of years now with stock internals and there car still drives day in day out i guess they are just lucky, personaly i don't like going over 16psi gives you a bit of leeway

Yer that is what the PFC is for it is so you can fine tune you air, fuel and what ever else makes your car go only other thing you might need is AVCR electronis boost control don't think the PFC comes with one not sure on that i run wolf 3D -

Yer all sounds true from what i have heard you don't really want to go much past 10psi with the standard turbo's anyway, don't forget they are 11 years old unless they have been replaced so they have properly already had a far bit of punishment but i would recommend the the fmic you will be able to turn the boost up a little and it will be safer with the intercooler. I am running wolf 3D i thing it is great all depends were you want to tune you car and what they use my tuner was better at wolf so thats what i went for -

i have had a few people say that to me about the 729nm i am going to get the fuel pump and tune again then run it on 2 different dyno's see what the difference is, i am not running a AFM i am running wolf 3D so i have taken it of and put all new 3" piping in -

hey guys it seems that my car isn't running on the 16psi i thought it was it turns out that it is on;t running on about 12 as i founf out last night well thats all my boost gauge would go up to would this be correct in making this sort of power with this boost. I thought they tuned it to 16 but it turns out they didn't they said they would turn it up to 16 with a bigger fuel pump i guess then i will get my extra 30 - 40 rwkw -

i was thinking of buying a walbro i can get one of here from happypig i think he goes by for $165 would this be ok. I am not running a AFM i just have a 3" piping from the pod. What would i be looking at in gaining with a set of cams in terms of rwkw and cost involed in this sort of operation -

thanks guys this is helping a far bit and giving me a lot of options. The guy that tuned my car at rank rotory said the same thing about the fuel pumps they told me that i should be able to get maybe another 10 - 20% out of it as i will be able to turn the fuel presure up a little. I really am trying to get to that 250rwkw mark not sure if i will get there what will i need to get into the 12's for the 1/4 mile i am going next month to see what can get with what i have now. -

Yer the car was a bit sick it was the tune when i got 108rwkw after i had it tuned i put a pod and BOV on i guess it all helps a little we got 138rwkw with standard standard everything else which i thought was good. Then the standard turbo sh8t it self hense why i have done all this work to the car. Well i drive the car every day so i guess i wouldn't wont to much for power i guess but you know what they say a person that has power always wants more hehehe. I don't mind the turbo coming on late although i wouldn't mind it coming on about 3500 instead of the 4200, the guy that gave me the turbo says that it has the smallest exhuast housing on it which if i am not mistaken helps boost earily not sure guys -

the turbo isn't sick cause it is only had done 2000km when he gave it to me as it was only 1 month old so not sure i hope it isn't cause he gave me the receipt so it should be the turbo i don't now the spec's on the turbo sorry -

ok well maybe he ment it might make 650 if i high flowed it not sure not really fused i cant use that much anyway with the standard 2L all my mods didn't cost me anything as he got done by the EPA and had to get rid of it all and get standard gear. He had no money and i hit the jack pot getting his turbo, dump pipe,45mm waste gate, fuel reg, catch can, bigger injectors all i had to add was the wolf 3D and give him all my standard gear i jumped from 108rwkw to 210rwkw with only paying $1900 for parts not bad ha
