Where do i start with internals

could it be because i still have the standard fuel pump as i have still got the stock one in will the bigger fuel pump give it a lot more power i was told about 25 more rwkw would that be around the mark -
Hi guys I have a R32 GTS-T, i am trying to find out what to do next my mods are as follows: pod wolf 3D GT30 ballbearing 650hp hks fmic fuel reg 3" exhuast injectors i think about 500cc not sure 45mm waste gate h/D clutch excedy Currently the car is running 16psi and i am yet to do the fuel pump which is getting done soon at the moment i have 210rwkw just wondering after fuel pump what sort of internal work i need to do enable me to turn the boost up and start getting some good figures i want to keep everything that i have. Do i need to open the engine up and say some forged piston and rods? Not sure what needs to be done i have heard that you can just put the RB25 bottom half of the engine to replace the RB20 is that right, and help would be great and what sort of prices am i looking at Thanks

210rwhp RB20 with these mods...
wheels_24 replied to wastegater's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It was on 16psi i haven't done the fuel pump that is why it is properly a little lower then after thinking of putting a walbro on -
210rwhp RB20 with these mods...
wheels_24 replied to wastegater's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
that is a great figure is he running the standard turbo if he is it isn't going to last to long i wouldn't think pushing out that sort of psi. i have. GT30 ballbearing pod fmic 3" turbo back exhaust 500cc injectors fuel reg wolf 3D 45mm external waste gate i got 210rwkw not sure what that is in horse power think around 300 don't know anyone now -
picked my GTS-T up for $13,500 it already had exhuast and a front mount. Have recently spent about $6500 on mods such as new turbo, injectors, waste gate and 3D wolf and tuning went from 105rwkw to 210rwkw that is about as far as i can go with it till i do internals
-
yer it is all done now i put this post up before i did it i got 210rwkw with the standard pump i am going to buy a walbro fuel pump soon for it but it seems to be ok i just put on what the guy gave me and that got me my 210. Full boost doesn't come on till i hit about 4200rpm but it come on real hard if i floor it it loses traction at about 60km in the dry sometimes. i like it like that but you can drive it around normal with out boost so it is good in the wet unless you go past 4000 then it is dangerous
-
yer guys i went for that turbo because i got it for free alone with my injectors, fuel reg and waste gate just had to give the guy my stock stuff and pay for the labour as he got done by the epa and had no money to bring it back to stock so i was happy
-
That was my thery with my RB20 i didn't really want much over 200rwkw, and this way with my mods it is pretty laggy but just to drive around normally it is good no boosting, which is good in the wet cause they are bad enough in the dry when you get stuck in to them. Mine doesn't hit boost till about the 4,000 mark which that suits me so it all depends what sort of power he wants as you gus said. Is it true that the RB20 is good for about 250rwkw or is that pushing it with standard internals
-
I looked at high flowing mine and in the end it wasn't that much worst just to buy a new bigger turbo and you will get more power so win win have a look at a new turbo is your best bet
-
Hi there i have a HKS on my R32 it seems to be fine i suggest you buy a good brand name especial if you are going to be doing a far bit to you car as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Maybe ask a couple places were you live that do tuning they would properly be you best help as they would see these cars every day
-
i just put a GT30 on my R32 gts-t with ecu wolf 3d,3" turbo back exhuast, injectors, 45mm waste gate, fmic, fuel reg and pod and i am getting 210rwkw, thats with the standard pump i need to put a bigger pump then i shoud be up around the 230 - 240 mark i think. Full boost doesn't come on till about 4200rpm but when it does it kicks you in the a*se

33GTSt How much boost can you run?
wheels_24 replied to PHATGTR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
well it was in 4th gear and i wasn't the one who started this you did i am only going on what i have been told and what my dyno tells me. I don't need to go and do any research cause i am not that fused with the topic. It seems that geno8r is so but, and someonestolecc is correct you have just made a depate in someone else's thread -

well thats up to you guys to believe that but thats what the dyno sheet says and i haven't seen one that has lied before -

Not reading it wrong buddy on my dyno graph it has 2 lines kw and toq and in the top right corner it tells me max rwkw and it tells me max touque so hate to dissappoint you but i do have 729nm. I have a pretty big turbo on my car would that help such high reading it is a GT30 ballbearing the guy that i bought it off said it is good for 650hp+ -
PBR clutch Vs Excedy H/D
wheels_24 replied to wheels_24's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I drive most of the time normally, like to give it a bit every now and again but no racing. Just when i was trying to put the power down my standard was slipping mostly in 3rd. C & B said that i had 12 month warranty -

wheels_24 replied to wheels_24's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yer it was a exceddy H/D organic face with a brass button pressure plate. i don't know anything about clutches thats why i posted this thread is this a good clutch -
i have seen plenty of fast rwd but if he buys a GTR he has a lot more room to move and play with in the way of mods if all he wants is speed. Personal my R32 gts-t RWD car is more fun then any 4wd car don't see many of them doing alot of drifting HEHEHE
-
Yer the standard engine can handle about 16 - 17psi no more safely mine is set at 16 so it is pretty safe. as for standard boost in R32 i am pretty sure it is about 5 - 6psi not 10 that is to high. make sure you get a fmic and full exhuast before you start turning boost up or the boost want do you much good, i know it is a slowand longfull process but if you just go throwing boost at it you might do damage then it will cost you a lot more

wheels_24 replied to wheels_24's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well the one that i picked up is said to be able to handle 250rwkw so i have been told -
I still like my idea with the right foot don't want to go flat out use losts of fuel don't put you foot down as far
-
I would go back to the guy you bought it off if he didn't tell you about it cause it sounds like you might have to open the engine up to fix this one i would say it is the rings my mate had the same problem blue smoke is a bad bad thing, i take it you didn't get a warrenty with the car
-
I wouldn't go much further then 12 man these are old turbo's and you don't want it to let go on you 14 well i would never run 14psi on a standard turbo no way. A good cheap mod is a fuel reg then a good tune you will get a bit out of one of them also you should try and invest in a dump pipe open her up a bit more let her breath better
