  1. Had the same problem on my car. I got a suggestion to take the lense off and polish the inside with silvo.... sound stupid but it worked.
  2. At the moment im deciding if i should make my car into a responsive type car or buy a 450rwkw straight line monster which i have on offer at the moment. Ive been looking for a while now at turbos and have found that there is an r33 bolt on version of the disco potato which retails for $1350ish, just wondering if there is anyone with one of these fitted, or any informion on the subject.   3. lol... fuel pump is a good place to start but. Gotta love the engine safety mods
  4. BIG vacuum leak from what youve said. check all the piping and hoses between the AFM and the inlet, not just the intercooler piping, hose might have popped off or got a tear. Hope you find it either way.
  5. Find out the brand of immobiliser and ring that company, they will give you a reset procedure to follow.
  6. Had a problem on a 32 gtst once with similar symptoms bar the miss and the knock sensor was stuffed. worth checking
  7. :laughing-smiley-014: Im a mechanic and that is one of the funniest things i've ever heard. As for the $300 dollars, for my heavy duty clutch i spent $350, but i got it trade price. Spend $500 on the clutch and it will last unless you have big power, and as for labour I would expect $300-$400 for fitting.
  8. Dont intend on going to track days until I have all the stuff to handle long periods of high load. At the moment I only give it hard for a couple of minutes at a time. Or drag it on the quarter mile. Cheers for the productive answers Tomm0 10psi sound like the go till FMIC is in then i'll see how 12psi goes.

  10. Thanks Tomm0. This is exactly the sort of stuff I want to find out. Thats something I haven't thought about. What damage could it cause if the turbo blows?
  11. lol... my car is well looked after. Im an apprentice mech. plus I put out the exta dosh for bp ultimate
  12. Not worried about the turbo. It puts out fine. Im worried about the piston and rings. Thats it. One other question. Is the car speed limited? I've nearly reached the top of 5th and haven't found one, yet people tell me it's limited to 180km/h.
  13. Had it at just over 14psi for an hour but i didnt like the way it felt when I reached high revs. Put it down to 13 and it felt good, then went to 12 just to be safe. Only wind it up for the weekends.
  14. Put a boost tap in last week and have been playing round with it. My car only has the standard gtst intercooler. Could someone experienced and mechanically minded tell me what the max boost that I should run it on without the intake temps getting too high or the a/f mix becoming lean. Seems to hold 12psi fairly well. Cheers
