Has anyone installed a HID kit on an R33 GTST? Is it as easy as an R32 install? R33s use H1 bulbs Adam, is the cutoff line able to be adjusted to be higher or lower? I don't want to be blinding people if I install it on mine

I'll be very interested in the next group buy

I'm an amatuer so just a suggestion. Boost your ISO to 400 or over, you got a good cam so it will handle it well. You'll get a bit of noise but its a good trade off. Then put in on aperture priority mode and use a lowest aperture it can go like 2.8, this opens up the eye of your lens to its max letting more light in. you can play with Speed priority mode too, again boost your ISO and use slower shutter speeds, letting more light in. You will more likely get blurry pics though without a tripod in this mode.

Its in your boot next to your battery. It was in enlgish if i remember right. Good luck with your install

DDDDayem that Do Luck R33 is hot. Never seen that before. Love the kit, rims and wing

Here you go. Titanium exhaust side angled. The problem with angled exhaust is if its too close to the rear bar like mine it will actually burn it. I had to have the whole bar resprayed and fixed the problem by putting in a sheet of aluminium inside the tip to extend it a bit, it acts like a heat shield. You can just see it in the pic

R34 Gtt - Weird Clicking Noise
sl33ek replied to nuffsaid's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Check the handbrake cable isn't hitting your driveshaft, mine popped out and kept making a tapping noise under the car because it was hitting the driveshaft. -
You cant right click c:\ and do a format because most likely you will have the operating system on it so it wont let you It would probably be best booting from the XP CD and format it, choose the NTFS option. Dont worry its all menu driven just back up your stuff before you do it. From the menus it will let you install XP too. Just download drivers or your network card drivers at least so you can hook up to the internet to download other drivers, I've made that mistake once lol For your home network since its only two computers install the IPX/SPX network protocol on both PCs so you dont have to configure anything. Share out the C:\ on both computers and you should be able to see it in network neighbourhood

Cheers Newkleer! That consult kit was definately handy whenever I've needed it. Consult cable has been Sold. Thanks Secur1ty Anyone want an Ipaq for $180? I still have the Serial and sync cables for the consult kit to hook up to the ipaq too so if you already have a consult cable and an ipaq, this will let you hook it up to your ipaq - $30

The black car in your first post is an mspec grill and the white one is a GTR grill. They pop up on ebay now and then and the mpsec one bolts right up to a s1 front, its independant of the front bumper. I checked out ebay, theres a GTR one on there http://cgi.ebay.com.au/R33-Skyline-GTR-Sty...1QQcmdZViewItem

About 50 metres for me. My mate taught me a neat little trick if you need to arm/disarm from far away, stick the remote to your neck and press the button. I managed to get range of about 150m which is from the car park to my desk

Tax savings was just a big plus it wasnt the sole reason. the first home owners grant was also a bonus. I have to disagree, owning a place is better than renting. You're right though you can take more risks in life by renting a house and make it big in the sharemarket but thats not my thing. Its all about how much risk someone wants to take. Houses are pretty safe

Keep the Skyline and buy a house. If you use it as an investment property its even better, you will thank yourself come tax time

Hi Guys, I just bought myself an O2 xda so I am selling my ipaq. I have owned this since new and has served me well and never skipped a beat. Included: Ipaq h2200 Genuine HP Dock sync/charge cradle Genuine leather case purchased from Harvey Norman so its the proper one Retractable USB sync cable "Ecutalk" software 128MB SD card with Tomtom navigator 6 is installed but you will need to buy a bluetooth GPS receiver which is well under $100. It works very well and has a new version of the entire map of Australia May sell separately: "NewKleer" Consult cable. Allows the Ipaq to be connected to R33 GTST ECU. Lets you monitor and log ECU data like speed, rpm, water temps etc. Extra cabling to connect the Ipaq to your car, refer to this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...&hl=consult Here are the specs of this device: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quicksp...a/11612_na.HTML It is in very good condition and has superficial scratches from normal use, the screen is perfect due to protective plastic layer. It has one single fault. There is a small dead spot on the screen meaning it is unable to write in that spot. if you draw a straight line across it, the line will "bend" around that spot, i highlighted it in this pic: Other than that the screen is great, no dead pixels and still vibrant. Battery still lasts a good 3-4 days on a full charge Price: $250 the lot Or $235 for the PDA $50 Consult cable I would rather sell it as a whole for now but will consider separating the consult cable if there is no interest Local Pickup Only - Sydney Contact by PM for pickup arrangements, i live in West Sydney and work in Bella Vista area so can meet around there.

Can This Be Repaired (fg Front Bar)
sl33ek replied to so_tred's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
thats a pretty shocking repair job they did. It looks like its as thin as carboard too, I'd return it if possible Its definately repairable though, when i repaired cracks in my front and rear bar it costs $350 each time I cracked the damn thing on a driveway. That included the repair and respray and reinforcement fibreglass in the weaker areas, so its not cheap. -
Yay i got Gran turismo 2 working on it, its flawless. Saves are a bit slow, i dont know if thats normal. Nismo makes one for the series 1 and uses the stock indicators. It seems to be a common front bar as I've seen it on a few other people's series ones as well its in my signature

A workmate of mine did my 1.5 to 3.03 upgrade today, it took him 5 minutes. He also put on some old ps1 games on it: spyro, metal slug and raiden. Its pretty amazing, it runs exactly like I remembered it. And to play my psp iso's I dont have to go through Devhook anymore! I cant wait until I get a copy of gran turismo on ps1 and get that going on psp I read that it runs great on psp too

Some good tips here. I'd love a 400D myself but cant afford it quite yet so I have no choice but photoshop hehe I have the same problem with my cam too where it overexposes shiny white things. To fix it, I'd shoot white cars a bit underexposed and use photoshop's shadow/highlights and levels tools. If you shoot the car overexposed its really hard to get detail back in photoshop so underexposing is the way

its cruel but i gotta agree with d0pey. Thats the dumbest thing I've heard all day - retrofitting and airbag and auto converion on an old sil. Walk away from that importer now to save yourself a headache later on. Scratch option A and B because it involves the importer looking for a bandaid fix, go option C look for another car

Thanks for that. Damn yeah thats alot of skylines crossing it, very good to know. Interesting thread, now i know that the ferry is free too, yay!
