  1. Yeah I'm bringing my gameboy for this one or a good book I got reply back from my boss "I'm not sure exactly how it works but it doesnt come out of annual leave, check with HR. You get paid the same as you do now but the money the government pays you gets given to XXXX, but dont quote me on that" I doubt he's on SAU so its ok to quote lol Any truth in what he's saying?
  2. ahh excellent, I see. I wasn't aware that the employer was obligated to pay, I've only read stories where people had to go on leave without pay to attend court. I'm full time so I will definately raise it with my boss. May not be such a bad thing after all Cheers Archie
  3. Yeah you're right. I was summoned in late March but have been excused from that. I put down work purposes with supporting letter from my employer, but I cant use the same excuse twice. Yesterday I get another summons for the end of this month. I think I'll have to go, its just really disruptive, if I get picked to go on the jury panel, it could be four weeks of unpaid leave off work. I was told they pay $60 a day but its hardly worth going
  4. has anyone ever got excused from Jury Duty? If you did can you post what excuse you used. PM me if you want it private Thought I'd try here since I'm not a member of any other forums. I know its way off topic, mods you're welcome to delete this post.
  5. wouldn't a time of 13.5 beat most commodores? It might be modified Anyway paint your car red like that VXSS, I heard red goes faster
  6. I have one of those, $30 is an awesome price. I paid around $70 for mine from Justjap. Excellent gauge too, very pretty especially at night. Little hard to see in the day but its not too bad. Switch off the engine and it goes completely black, very cool. I got the turbotech boostcontroller too, a gauge is a must have. Without it you can only guess what PSI you are running on the stock gauge, its hopeless to check of small PSI changes so forget about adjusting your boost controller without an aftermarket gauge
  7. At 80K's a day you'll go through a full tank of premium per week so its up to you if you could afford it, assuming you get around 430K's out of a tank - ~$70 nowadays For me, the highlight of the day is the drive to and from work so its worth it hehe
  8. I got a friendly high beam from a white (s2?) r33 with gtr wing on the commenarra parkway yesterday, are you on here? just want to say hi back
  9. I went through this too, when I got my car last year, one of the first mods I did was a hks Bov, and I loved it. SirD I'd say go for it, it makes driving fun but you'll most likely end up removing it like me. After I got my frontmount installed it made the whoosh I was after with the pod and only at heavy throttle, unlike the bov which goes off even under light throttle which I think is really embarrasing in everyday traffic.
  10. hehe yes I thought that was pretty good epecially for a girl! Easily the best burnout out of the lot, then it just got really repetitive I think the session just took too long and I got a headache from the tyre smoke.
  11. i couldnt get a helmet in time so i spectated. I came at night and saw a white skyline doing 11s and 12s, it was awe inspiring. The announcers hated imports lol and shook his head when he saw those times. I thought the burnouts sessions were a waste of time, a big Meh from me when a couple of commo engines blew. But yeah I found it a bit disappointing, it seems like one big bogan fest. The jap cars need to represent more. I liked the white skyline and the red supra though!
  12. hi guys, I'm going to have a run. I've never been, even to spectate so it'll be exciting. BTW, isnt this friday the 14th, not the 17th? Also can you hire a helmet there?
  13. It looks great to me. Do they make them for S1 R33s?
  14. just to muddy the waters, you can get a Series 1.5 too like me. It has series 1 body/seats with some series II parts. These R33s came out towards the end of 95 I got mine for series 1 price but it came with a series II motor and turbo
  15. That topstage shield looks really good. I did a similar cold air setup too, a pipe from the front bar to under the pod. After a hard drive the bottom of the pod filter is noticably cooler than the top because the pipe is directed right at it. I made my own heat shield from a piece of aluminium after seeing some other people's setups.
  16. I've been to Bel once, and I'd go back. great people, real enthusiasts
  17. I ran mine on 10PSI before my frontmount and now I'm on a 11.5PSI. And yes like everyone says, it never spiked once. Best $30 I ever spent. How did you guys gets get it for $22?
  18. My pride and joy, bought near stock, slowly doing it up!
  19. i think at the very least you should be running 150rwkw with your mods
  20. Hi guys, my HKS pod filter is filthy. Does anyone know if this is the right replacement for my filter element (pic attached), and is it easy to replace? http://www.justjap.com/parts_nintake.htm The one I'm looking at is: "HKS Replacement Air Filter Element - Green Price: $50 200 Size - Suit large HKS pod filters"
  21. I chose bosch too but I'm not planning anything near 350rwkw so I went with 040
  22. I had the exact same problem when fitting my wheels The tyre shop put 5mm spacers on the fronts and mine literally clears the brakes by 1 or 2mms
  23. The rear is 400R as well incl the pods, I have it on my car too. Add a stealth wing on its done!
  24. Hey Waz, is the XDA II mini sync cable different to a regular XDA II? If its the same, I reckon the one off ebay will work on yours. I used it again on the weekend, and tried the logging. I exported the data to an excel spreadsheet and made the graphs. I've made a donation to NewKleer, small price to pay for a great tool. Would love to see a peak hold function and a time trial feature if a new version is released! Edit, log added http://users.tpg.com.au/gengis/ecutalk/testlog.xls
  25. I've seen this car in person when he did my frontmount. Its got excellent sensible mods and looks awesome! GL with the sale Jason.
