I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
mle808 replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yes. i know what you mean. sent email requesting payment details (wanted to purchase with SAU discount) waited a week. then i thought fu k it. will just get it off ebay, seeing as most ppl are saying service is mega fast etc etc. paid on ebay, accidently did bank transfer instead of credit card, two days later... not received one email from him. emailed him twice to confirm that hes got a payment pending, took 3 days to reply. the funds cleared the day after he replied. emailed him once the day it cleared, and another the day after, now its been 3 days since funds have cleared. no email, no ebay message. ffs!!! if you dont have time for this, then maybe you shouldnt have so many "buyitnow" items listed on ebay!!!!!!! if he checked emails/ebay/paypal say once a day...i would have received the thing by now!!!! now im not even sure if its been shipped off or anything. but i doubt it since theres no replies to email.....arhhh....FFS!! -
maybe its on fire.......blew the welds on the intake!! hmmm but seriuosly. why dont u just have a look down there for a neon or led's or apexi RSM?? you are for real right?

bought one the other day. easy to install. good fit. only thing that was crap was the hole for AFM was not big enough.
-
Have you checked airflow metre? try using someone else's. Ive wasted an engine about a year ago because of a dodgy AFM. And like you i never had boost more than 10psi. it was just running so lean it slowly killed it off. but it went so hard, while it lasted. but yea, on its final stages; idle was getting really rough, will heistate at times and seems to get worse after a longish drive.(when engines hot) and just stall, and be hard to start again. its worth to chcek it out, if you havent already. just swap the afm meter over for a day and see what happens

Yea back to stock BOV. didnt need to go engineers

got it all cleared the other day. thanks to all that helped. really appreciated. brought a plastic cold air box from UAS, fits ok...not the best. hole for air flow meter was too small. and just used this foam and foil insulant stuff from clark rubber. works great. alot quietier now tho, without the hks bov n filter. hmmm i kinda of think it even makes exhaust go quieter. at first was pretty cut about the sound, but i think it does to abit harder now. anybody notice a performace gain with cold air box .... or with standard bov back on?

thanks guys. alarm for 9am, then call around. think i will call blue slip places first before calling engineers. worried that they will just say yea yea, come in and i'll sort you out. then $400bux. will let you guys know whats going to happen, and how it went. should be handy for future defect searches oh yea. also gunna buy one of those UAS cold air box things...i like the idea of buying more mods to clear a defect haha. and..zique. i have no idea. but i bet they won't know where to look anyways, unless they ask if do u have one and where is it. love it when they speak so technical, "Do u have a atmospheric venting blow off valve fitted to your vehicle" and their flash light is pointing right next to it once again thanks. more advice welcome anytime

Trust33 Nah, he didnt write down exhuast db test...mines pretty quiet, unless u gun it. When you said that you were passed for intercooler...did you need to get engineers cert? Or did you simply get an emissions test done and went to a blue slip place with it? And...if i was to get an engineers Cert, Is getting an emissions test a criteria for so the engineers can sign off as road worthy? if so i better book it no matter what... what are your thoughts on that guys? Guys my cars exhuast can stink like fuel, even just after a service. dunno if its cos stock ecu, or does everybody's skylines smell abit?

hi fellas, makes me wonder if its a long weekend..or am i just lost???? saw three cars pulled over on cumberland hwy north bound just after smithfield. then abit past the bridge, i got pulled in for an RBT. then got told to park on the side for them to inspect. got done for Intercooler, BOV, "Wheels to be checked - No Tyre plackard" and front bar too low.(although he didnt even measure it) He told me i need to get an engineers cert and take it to an AUVIS, then RTA to get it cleared. Was issued a Major defect catagory, Part inspection at AUVIS. As far as i know...doesn't this mean I can just go to a place that does Blue Slips and get a pass if i have originals back on?...the only thing that bothers me is the Intercooler...will that definatly need an Engineers Cert? Please....any response will be appreciated, got 4 days to buy parts n get cert. before i start work again then going to melb for a week. (have 20 days left to get it cleared.) Oh btw...this other Sergant cop comes strolling over, and trys a power trip on me and this is the convo. Cop: "have you ever been spoken to by the SRI? Me: "No, i dunno what that is" Cop: "It stands for Street Racing Investigations unit" Me: "then no" .....(i don't speed or street race) Cop: "you know your car looks familiar, and i have a very good memory" ....(he's doing the death stare eyes) Me: "hmmm...you got the wrong person" Cop: (looks at my license) ....i know now, yours the one racing the red commodore on Jedda Rd" Me: "No i'm not" Cop "don't you worry mate, i'll go and check my data and i'll be back. i have a very good memory, it is like a pin" (and presses his finger on his temple) Me: ....(looks away and rolls eyes) came back 5 mins later, handed back license and never said a thing again... hahahaha....i used to get pis sed at cops like that...but they just look like fools now hehehe... anyways...yea watch out everyone eh?...the cop who was giving me the defect was nice guy, but he was full asking stuff about ppl racing? and meet ups and krispy kremes at cumberland hwy etc. they must have some kind of operation happening with so many cops out to defect people. but yea. anyone know the answer to my question regarding getting intercooler cleared of defect. i really dont wanna put the standard one back on....and if i do need an engineer. got a recommendation or price guide? Thanxx in advance ppl... n becareful..

i use this graphite powder on my sunroof tracks. its the freakin bomb.!!!! u must clean any oily grease first till its clean and shiny, then apply the powder. works like a wonder and doesnt attract dust like greasy surfaces.

R33 Nismo White El Cluster Dial Kit?
mle808 replied to Scratch's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
that looks so rice, if u go down the page...the seller has EL kits for different model cars, but very similar design. i wouldnt put it on if it was for free. -
siddr20; yes they are still for sale. Come and check them out. Im next to liverpool. Slither; Well i guess i could if no-one wants them after a while, i dunno how much postage would be tho.

do u rreally need a spray on product?, what about an insulation material stuck on the outside of the box? Clark rubber sells stuff like that, dunno if anyone on here has tested the air temp difference, but i basically have some insulation martial over the aluminium sheild with a cold air duct coming from where the IC pipe used to be. well good luck anyways.

Wheel Alingment Settings
mle808 replied to Col-GTSX's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hey, i might have similar problem, just got the shocks and springs fitted today. but they didnt have enough time to align it. so will have to go tomororw morning,...but whats really bugging me is that...the height from centre of hub to top of guard are different on all four corners?.....is this what a wheel alignment should fix? or should i be going back to the suspension place and ask wth happened?.... RHS front is 345mm but LHS front is 330mm RHS Rear is 360mm but LHS Rear is 350mm and its scrubing sometimes when going over a bump ont he lleft front, sounds similar to you Col-GtsX is your height the like that too? -
Yes i think so, i forgot the brand, but u can get them in aerosol spraycans at supercheap and amercian auto etc. it'll have advertising on it as heat resistant paint for brake callipers, engine covers, underbodys etc. and they have different heat range resistant to whatever degrees and stuff. i don't know how much good it'll do or it really works but yea, thats the products i've seen. Think exhaust shops spray that stuff on, once all the piping is done. ummm...if it helps, the brand im thinking of says they use it for the space shuttle.

Falken ZE 326 X2 235/40/18 looks like still plenty of rubber on both tyres, the LHS is perfect condition. The RHS has slight uneven wear, (out of round) perfect for skidpan or....whateva u want them for. 100bux for the two, pick up only. Liverpool area. (prestons, next to casula)

hey guys, thanks for all the replies. yea i was thinkin about that sanding method. was just hoping theres not much to sand, since the holes are very close to the edges as it is. And yea, i have a feeling mine might be abit of a bIt^ch to fit as well, becos when i put it against the pillar, the top part of it doesn't seem to align flush and blend in nicely. maybe ive just been unlucky and receieved a dodgy one, but just makes u think paying extra for a Greddy (precut and match car model) one, u'd expect it not be sh^t. anyways i'll get it in one of the these days and post up a pic and let u know if particular dramas. Thanks for the tips guys.

hey all, ive tried serach any date without luck, maybe im jus a dumbas* was just wondering if anybody has bought a Greddy 60mm pillar gauge holder. the 60mm apexi gauge i want to install just won't fit. From my understanding, fitting shouldnt be a problem since its precut. Now ive measured the hole and its about 59mm in diametre. im just wondering if anyways else has installed one, and how they went about fitting in the gauges. Did you just force them in? or is cutting required? just wanna make sure before i wreck an expensive bit of plastic.
