  1. Saw a Black R34 coupe in the vehicle inspection carpark at work (RACQ) today without any number plates. Looks like there might be a new skyline driver soon
  2. It's a nice looking car... and while this car might not have the performance of some of the cars listed, or be as new... I'd still rather one of these in my garage:
  3. Spotted again, this time in the afternoon driving back along the gateway. Changed your rear wing recently?
  4. Spotted a wine red R33 with SAU stickers, TLCXXX, driving along the gateway this morning. I was in the biege beast and so you probably didn't notice me.
  5. Obviously they opened the bonnet to check before the dyno, and when I drove it out again, I never noticed they'd only just laid it back down and not shut it properly (probably shouldn't have been staring at all the far sexier skylines and paying attention ahead instead). So I hit the ramp onto the gateway, hit 100 and just see my bonnet start wobbling like crazy (it seems that 100 is the magic number for getting it to do that, doing 60-70 all the way up sandgate road and it just sat there and didn't move). I was just like... oh shit... the first exit wasn't for at least a couple of k's down the road, those where some "fun" k's.
  6. One thing I learned from the day... Remember to ensure that your bonnet is properly closed before hitting the gateway at 100km/h driving home afterwards :|
  7. You all know that my 31 kicked all your arses... Even I'm going to complain that the dyno read low. 70rwkw..., the engine's not that stuffed.... or maybe it is Had to laugh when they had to jump start it to get it on the dyno... Time for a new battery I had some fun though and it was definitely well organised by the SAU team
  8. Hmmm 70rwkw. 543nm rockin' I can't believe I got beaten for last place though
  9. I would consider redcliffe safe at night. I've never had any problems here
  10. NA RB30 + extractors & exhaust. So I'm guessing around 125kw at the fly Or around 93-95rwkw. Woot! See ya's there
  11. You'll beat my car, don't worry
  12. I'm still running beta 2 on my home computer, I really need to update it one of these days.
  13. The biege mobile is going to kick some ass! I call dibs on lowest power reading
  14. I spotted sxl32 (Shiny red r32) at nando's yesterday at lunch time
  15. I'm currently on Win 200 atm and can't remember if XP is different but Right click on My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager. (Otherwise just look for device manager in System Properties) Just write down say the following: Display Adapter (Video Card) Netword Adapters Sound Controllers/cards Everything else XP should have no problems with. After the install, do the same thing and look for any devices with a yellow ! over them. They're the main ones you'll need to find drivers for. That and I'd recommend downloading the latest video card drivers as well.
  16. Pretty much everything I would have said has been said. Skip the boot disk and just boot off the cd (assuming it's a legit or at least half decent copy of XP) If you've never touched the bios then chances are it's already set up to boot from a cd first. Try and just stick the cd, reboot and see what happens, if it goes straight into your old version of Windows then look at changing the bios boot settings. As mentioned, look at partitioning your drives into at least 2 different partitions. It makes the format & reinstall process much easier in the future. Otherwise it's all pretty easy, XP shouldn't have any problems getting the system up and running, even if you're missing driver cd's. After it's up you can just hop on the net and download the lastest manufacturer versions anyway.
  17. I heard that they didn't want to reveal the interior stylings. Perhaps that's the reason for the "rag". Though I'm guessing it helps with the jizz.
  18. I'll have to look it up next time I'm at diceys (probably today or tomorrow )

I'm guessing around that, it would be value - whatever they felt they could get for it at auction

*Shrugs* it's an R34 though, I don't know at what limit they'd determine it was a write off
  21. I'll have to remember to look when I get home. Just don't do it on weeknights, some of us have to work in the morning and that roundabout is bad enough as it is Got the call from the insurance company today too. $10,338 worth of damage. And it will take at least a couple of weeks to get the parts in from Japan (seriously, whatever happened to overnight parts from Japan???) .
