just remember not to spray too much water down there when washing your car

and better system mean that you may never have to claim theft anyway. but as lwells said. Don't expect any discount from the insurance comapnies.
-
i know that with my insurance the discount for an alarm was about $20 a year. That however is not through just carts and is not for a 'line
-
I would have to say electronic. If i was going to be running anything where i really needed to monitor thoes readings closely i would have something like the wolf 3d hand controler showing me anyway. And the thought of engine oil in my cabin just isnt cool.

restrictions in your na setup is about as good as ceramic blades in your muggler tip. Every little bit of extra pipe and stuff will kiil performance. You can buy it if you want and wrap it in a towle and leave it under your bed. Just don't put it on. It will slow you down and anyone who looks under your bonnet will think you are a pure ricer. now for the constructive bit.... If you want to increase your performance. Get a pod and partition it off from the rest of the engine bay and run some of the springy pipe stuff from the bottom left hole in your front bumper. This way you will be getting air that doesn't pass through the radiator and AC condensor. You could also heat wrap the pipe that is in the rest of the engine bay to keep the temps down a bit more. I hope this is useful info

Power NOT a factor with young drivers
wishaw replied to ossie_21's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I never meant any insult by my ags comments and i an glad to jere that you 2 have respect for your cars. Well done. I think that is poeple want to drive without the restrictions they should be able to have their driving examined. And not make it a "can you find the ignition test" but something you need to try for. That way the idoits can't pass it and the people who don't care about it don't care but can still drive. -
Power NOT a factor with young drivers

well it is only restricting people on their P's. 3 years thats all it is (in qld at least). You never hear anyone chuck a big stink because they can't drink. If that means you have to wait a few years to get a decent car then so be it. Perhaps by thrn you will have the skills to control that car and the respect for the car because you have been waiting so long for it. And correct me if i am wrong but what 17yo is going to have EARNT the mnoney for a decent car? The award wages in this country are pathetic. -
i would suggest the ecu. I'm sure i will be told otherwise but cutting the fuel pump would mean that the little bit of fuel left might allow some sort of start then lean out and detonante. At least with the ecu nothing will happen.

Power NOT a factor with young drivers

I feel that if they want to try and get rid of the stupid drivers then they need to be resitricting the raods to people who earn the privilage. I don't know about the other states but the learners test is a joke. It's a waste of time and money and doesn't really test your knowlegde of the rules. Then there is people who fail this test 8 or 9 times and don't give a stuff about it. I believe that before you can get into a car by ourselves we need to learn how to contol the car in the first place. With regards to being given a car as opposed to earning a car i think that unless you earn it you will have no respect for it. If you don't respect the car then why would you get if it gets smashed up. Powerful cars have nothing to do with crashes. I know someone who has been 190km/h in a hyundai getz. power has nothing to do with it. What you do with the power and how you use it does. Overall the government needs to find a better way to stop the idiots from getting onto the road instead of trying to control them once they are on the road. -
Since none of the governtment organisations would really like us to know what the law is with this stuff i though i might waste a few hours of my life getting all the info into one place. I have turned it into a (long and complex) word document to read through. It's missing a few bits that i am having trouble finding and would love any help you can offer. I hope you find this info somewhat useful. http://www.geocities.com/r33teddy/Anti_Hoo...ooning_Laws.doc

i would not be doing that. EVER. If that secondary latch fails you will have thousands of dollars of damage to fix if you survive the crash. If you want a bit more cold air the remove the weather strip up near the windscreen. That gives another place for the hot air to escape and therefore lets more (cooler) air into the engine bay. Another way is to get some of that alfoil looking covered spring pipe and run that from the left bottom scoop of your front bumper up to just under the pod. Have a look around air con shops and stuff because the coloured stuff you get from autobarn has about a 700% (no joke) mark up.

I thik of it this way. Have respect for hte people on your road because you are going to be stuck with them for a while. Drive easy down your street and then tuen the car off. If you add the time to open the garage door then you will be cool. If you hav ean electric door then leave the remote at home.

it's frustrating but i guess it's better then having your car stolen after you unlock it.

I have the same problem with my cyclops. Though most of the time the second button registeres but the lock/unlock signal doesn't

$605 seems like alot just for the parts for a 100000km service. What is recommended in the the manual for a 100000km service? -

the way to go is an alarm that you can disable the chirp. say by pressing button 2 the button 1. That way you can have the best of both worlds.

Step by Step guide to getting your money back
wishaw replied to Baz's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Sumo are you calling me a thief? Cause it sure looks that way. All i was saying was the posting personal information can get you into hot water. I have had people come begging me to let them stay at my place because they have been kicked out and then have the cops come around to collect their property they were to lazy to keep here because he owed me $2000. I just know that while revenge me be sweet to start with it almost never works out well for you. Fidel: unfortunantly the money was given to you which as the agment for you ex "mate" puts you at fault in this situation from baz's P.O.V. Thats not to say you are at blame. If what you have been sayiong is true then you are the biggest victim here. For all of your sakes i hope this get resolved and i hope the ex 'mate' gets what he deserves. And remember not to hold this whole thing against Fidel. He may have slipped up with a few things but sounds like he has been trying hard to fix the problem. Good luck guys. And remember that mate + money = shit storm. And COD is the way to go. -
Step by Step guide to getting your money back
wishaw replied to Baz's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Baz: I don't think it is right to post this info on here. If you have a problem then go to the police. Getting mates to screw this guy over is going to land you in alot of hot water. I have been in a similar situation before and what you have done is going to cause more touble then it is worth. If you contact the police and the matter is resolved then you can retract the claim. If you send people to this guy and beat the crap out of him for money or threaten him then you are going to be the criminal. My advice. Remove the details and contact the police. You can always retact the claim at a later date. Fidel: I would also suggest that you contact the cops about your ex "mate". He has stolen your money and needs to get screwed over for it. -
its one more thing that can go wrong. If you don't need it then get rid of it. The old saying of K.I.S (Keep It Simple) comes to mind.

can you heat wrap mild steel dump pipe?
wishaw replied to Cefiro_PWA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
some people say you might have a problem with condensation. So if you are worried about that get paint it with exhaust paint. -
i think the laws are the same for all NSW P platers. http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/downlo...itions_dl1.html Here is a link you might find useful

How do you have your alarm setup? Do you prefer it to chirp when arming/ disarming?
-
the only time you will need to cut things is for the immobiliser circuits.

basicly it like just about every other problem in this world comes down to double standards and abuse of powers. If everyone was on the same playing field then there wouldn't be the same problems. timmeblackr32: Silcone was added to tires to help then grip better so i am sure you knen this but it's a load of crap.
