  1. Hi, ive been told the main reason the r33 gtr is quicker then an r32 gtr on the track is the super atessa, has anyone swapped them?
  2. Hate to say it mate, but it looks like something has gone through it.
  3. Should be easily pried out, its just a spring circlip holding it in, r u sure you should be working on a gtr?
  4. Which way did you turn the CAS to get "maximum" timing
  5. Sounds like you have a good plan ahead, i would ensure you add a crank collar to suit the N1 oil pump if it doesnt already have one
  6. ^^^^^^are you stupid? Read the ad
  7. Sorry, are the rb30 mains studs or bolts?
  8. Considering the cams you are running at the moment, either setup will be a vast improvement. Being that you aren't running a huge turbo, the power difference of the 264 inlet cam over the 254, i wouldnt expect to see an extra 20rwkw between the two. Its all up to you, but considering you are almost at the limit of streetable 2wd power, i would go the smaller inlet, to maintain the low rpm torque, and idle quality, but its all trial and error.
  9. 34 gtr motors dont have VVT
  10. The diameter, number of teeth and tooth profile will be right, just not sure on the mounting
  11. Just curious, have you had an oil cooler and oil temp gauge?
  12. Good points, but have you actually priced any of these components, i believe an OS 3 lt is in the vicinity of $30k, and the HKS v cam is about $8k, and i dont think its made anymore. If you have the budget, and dont want to stuff around, the stroker cranks are probably the way to go, as they are far simpler than an rb30 conversion
  13. M18 x 1.5 i think
  14. Are you sure the discs are 370mm, you need 19inch wheels to clear that
  15. Shouldnt be caused by a water problem, plenty of water cooled turbos running around without the water being hooked up. I just find it interesting that both turbos have gone, it must have happened at the exact same time.
  16. Has anyone considered it may have injested a foreign object?
  17. Hi newbie, you should learn to keep your opinion to yourself, what he is asking is about average price, comments like that will get you banned.
  18. Depends what pipe was blocked, if it s the boost source for the wastegates, that explains it perfectly.
  19. It wont be the ecu, Fuel pump, CAS, AFM, also check for boost/vac leaks, but ill bet its one of the first three, i would also get a recirc BOV
  20. Mate you already have three threads on the first page, try doing a search before you ask
  21. Just factor in the fact that you may get hit up for import duty.
  22. I jave done this with 4 customers motors, as they wanted a cheap temporary fix, only one made it to 6 months, and the bill wasn't $200. The other problem is that doing this doesnt fix the original problem, so you also need to pull the oil pump off
  23. Your on the right track, once you pull the sump off, remove #6 conrod cap and have a look at the bearing, if its ok, then work your way forward. if its stuffed, the cheapest way out is probably a second hand motor.
  24. Now im putting A Geniune Garrett gt35 Bush bearing Turbo only done 2000km Teal external Wastegate with screamer ( this is for the coppers only ) Sard fuel pump with reg.. All will be returned with Safc II. what are your opionions. What is the intended use of the car, i would be using a different turbo, and you will need full engine management and injectors, and screamers on a street car is plain stupid
