    Just Got A Epa

I guess the key here is that a car modified to the letter of the law, can pass emissions and make heaps of power, a 300rwkw tree hugger isnt out of the question.
  2. Or another place to try is an Aircon duct manufacturer, they tend to have them and theres heaps around
  3. You will find most off teh shelf rb26 single turbo manifolds are high mount, you can either get one made, or get an HKS cast lowmount manifold, if you can find one, they are quite a good thing.
  4. I would offer advice, but i see your another one of those people running no cat.
  5. Depends on the highfow turbo, thats what will limit your power, that and the injectors. Another limiting factor could be the cams, guys on here are getting good results from drop in poncams with the rest of your setup. The no=cat wont be giving you any power increase over a highflow cat, i would fit one.

Yes it can, not a 5 minute job though, do a search someone has done it(i think it was Guilt Toy), maybe you can get some pointers on ignition timing and AFR's to run to pass. Also need to have all emissions gear fitted, charcoal canister, recirc BOV, PCV, breather hooked back into intake.
  7. Didnt read the link, but the n1 pumps definately flow more than gtr ones.

If the emmission system isnt effeccted, then it will pass, using a bigger turbo in theory shouldnt change that, as long as the standard ecu, AFM and cat are used then it should pass the drive cycle, what other mods have you got done?
  9. The r34 grind will be to suit solid lifters, and wont work with the r33 hydraulics for the same reason you cant fit gtr cams.
  10. I think they are $650 posted for the plate, or $990 with the oil pickup, all the fasteners and the guide for "notching" the block, they are the only one so far that noone has complained about fitment problems. They can be bought off their store on ebay, or through www.proengines.com
  11. Just get the right pistons, or you could deck the head heaps.
  12. No, rb30 rods are heaps longer than 26 ones
  13. Ive fitted a .63 to a stock rb26, it made 327rwkw at 18psi, and 309 at 16psi. comes on at about 3500
  14. Im hoping you forgot to put the crank collar in your list of mods, or youll be looking at more than a sump off job soon. Do you know what bearing clearances you are running, tight clearances increase oil pressure.
  15. A fpr can really only be setup to make the most of the injectors if you are using an aftermarket computer, as increasing the pressure will make it run rich at all load points.
  16. I would tee more than one port into the map sensor hose, using a small plenum chamber to equalise and damper the cylinder pulses
  17. I wouldnt recommend going much more with a stock bottom end, unless you have the money to spend for a full rebuild.
  18. I think all my headstuds are the same length, they are ARP rb26 ones. The oil resatrictors go in the block, on top of the stock restrictors, beside the 2nd and 5th headstud on the drivers side
  19. Pretty sure you cant do sr20 bearings in the car without taking the box out, as they have a two piece sump, which is dowelled to the bellhousing and the block.
  20. You need a q45 throttle body, or an adapter plate which sells for $120. How does the casting look between the water gallery and the ports, these manifolds are a bit hit and miss, some are thin, others seen to be ok, but they all need to be milled on the head surface, as the casting is too rough to seal properly.
  21. Well spotted roy, and the clearance between the rocker covers and the strut brace.
  22. +1 with what paul said, and as a side note, there is no way you will get 260rwkw with a safc2, let alone a safc1, they are limited to about 220rwkw.
  23. AVO do a .86 ex housing to suit a stock rb turbo, but i think they are about $800
