  1. I wouldnt worry too much about the gearbox, find out what box it is, but im betting a standard R34 gt box will take a standard rb26 with no worries, as long as it isnt abused. If its had the diff and brakes upgraded, then there is a good chance it has a gts-t or gtt box, and they are as strong as a gtr box, even stronger in a way as they dont have the loading of the awd. If the price is reasonable, then it sounds like a good thing.
  2. Agreed, sorry about the bump steer, i assumed you has some aftermarket head bolts and were checking they were ok.
  3. Some people claim to make 230rwkw with a safc, even with an SITC, i would say that is the absolute limit, have you considered upgrading to a greddy emanage ultimate?
  4. Yes, but studs are better
  5. Total $2530 + labour full kit HG 33gtr pump. I agree, my rb30 det is a lot more than that, but im building for 450rwkw. As for the discussion, the guy is upgrading from a stock rb20, so many of the items on the above list arent even needed for 200rwkw
  6. Its in the FI sticky, gives the pump a constant earth instead of runnung through a resistor pack, so it gets full voltage
  7. They aren't necessary, and can cause grief when tuning
  8. You will also benefit from getting a SITC, soy you can trim the ignition tables.
  9. Yep, you can run a highflow with only a SAFC, and get about 210rwkw, any more then that, and youll need a z32 AFM, injectors and better engine management. PS youll need to upgrade your fuel pump if its the dtock 10year old one, and do the fuel pump wiring mod
  10. Agreed, but definately dont get a fuel pressure reg.
  11. Dude, you may want to do a search, starting a new topic every coiuple of hours wont win you any friends
  12. Just do an rb30 forged bottom end reuild, if the turbo is that big, its the only thing that will bring the boost threshold down to something reasonable
  13. Mate its going to take far more than a SAFC to make the results youre after
  14. Oh yeah, how many have YOU built smartarse Im just doing a motor for a customer, RB30, ACL forgies, crank collar, r33gtr pump, cometic MLS H/G, r34 GTT NEO head, mild port job, GTR inlet cam, HKS 256ex cam, adjustble camwheels, and guess what the bill is...$3500. but i guess that is just a shit build
  15. For $3500 you could build an rb30 with 25 head with forged pistons
  16. Motorsport connections sell speedflow in stainless in most of the sizes
  17. I think you may be hoping for a bit much to get 370rwkw and have it come on at 2800, a gt25r .86ex on a 2.8 would probably do it though
  18. GTR.747 has a single turbo intake pipe for sale
  19. Way too much boost for the stock ecu(hope the turbo has steel wheels) Id say the hose that goes from the intercooler piping to the wastegate actuator is not connected.
  20. If your building this as a drift car only, then putting a heavier rb motor up the front of an s-series will give you less than spectacular balance, talk to URAS, he has a lovely rb26s14, and quite often recommends against doing this combo for track work. Not saying it wont be a great car, but would hate to see you do all this work and be beaten by ca's and sr's.
  21. Combo will work well, however for abou tthe same money, i would defiantely put an emanage ultimate in it, that way you have real control aver the maps, not working back and forth with the two controllers.
  22. Good luck with that, high hp modified motor, doubt youll get warranty. Racepace would be a good place to start, and maybe discuss with them converting it to an RB30, as it wont cost much more in the long run
  23. Have you considered NISTUNE, its real time tuning for the stock ECU, $200 http://home.aanet.com.au/nistune/
  24. Sorry BB 44psi...my bad
