  1. Dont worry, 4.7 is about right. Due to the non linear voltage of the AFM, to get that last .4 volt need about 40%more air
  2. street friendly 500hp haha, hope you like wheelspin at 150
  3. You may run out of resolution with a Q45, but its easier to run than making a twin AFM single turbo pipe. There is a table here somewhere that has the flow abilities of each. Or you can put the guts of a standard AFM into a 100mm pipe, and it increases the flow abilities by 2.3. I may be wrong here, but i believe that Much of the difference in the AFM abilities is that they use the same "sensor", but by fitting it into a bigger pipe it simply measures a smaller percentage of the air. Obviously there are a few different types of sensor, but i wouldnt be surprised if a Q45, Z32 and rb26 afm all use the same sensor, whereas the rb25 one is different.
  4. Check the ecu is earthed, adn there will be an earth wire for the igniter, sounds like igniter to me, except they usually only lose one or two cylinders, not all of them. Have you checked for power at the coils(not the igniter)
  5. Can you borrow an igniter off someone, and next time it happens, check the sensor/sw check screen to see if anything there is amiss, could be CAS
  6. Wrong, wrong, wrong. BOV's are fitted to AFM cars as an emission device, and blocking them or fitting an atmo one makes a huge difference
  7. Starion turbo, $1500 and spend 2k making it nice, new shocks etc
  8. Interestingly, porsche stretch their tyres from the factory, ie 265 tyres on 11in rims
  9. I agree, but due to the style of programming of the stock ecu, to get the AFR's perfect is easy, it doesn't matter what turbo you are running, as long as you dont go past the limits af the AFM and the fuel pump can keep up. To get the timing so far off to damage a motor, you would have to be reckless. I would say that he errs on the side of caution, and pulls a few degrees out, and you still make a great improvement over stock. From what his ad says, i actually does sound like he has more than half a clue.
  10. If his machine cant keep up at 5bar with 3 injectors, then they must be big. Why you would test them at 1 bar i dont know. Try one or two at a time at 3 bar for a more realistic answer
  11. Just got a price for 356mm rotors and hats from Just Jap, for $495 ea, $990 for the lot to suit my gt3 porsche brembos
  12. I would try going to your local repco/auto one and ask to go through their bosch book, at least it should give you a part number
  13. People totally underrate remaps, im hoping to get 450RWKW out of my rb30det with one(already made 340rwkw with old motor) A remap can handle different turbos, bigger injectors, modded AFM's or even map sensors. I believe a perfect remap is better than a PFC, as it has many features that can be tuned which cant be on a pfc ie, 16 rpm points for dwell time, injection end angle, two ignition maps, adjustable target AFR for closed loop in each load cell, two(or on some ecu's three)fuel maps. There are a few other bits, but i cant remember now.
  14. Wow, i asked this like 2 days ago, and no responses
  15. I believe it can be done very successfully. First up are you good at fabricating, ex manifolds etc...If not are you prepared to spend over 10k doing it
  16. Gtr injectors are about 10mm longer, but due to the mounting design of the gtt fuel rail, it should be easy to space the rail out
  17. Hi, a friend has gone ecu chipping crazy, and is writing a pdf to put on here with all the imfo about doing it. (its up to 15 pages already)He's after as many injector upgrade/standard values to put into a table, nismo, sard, hks's etc, any help would be appreciated
  18. Will measure them tomorrow, neo has pencil siemens style, wheras gtr has bosch style, not to say it wont fit though, will let you know
  19. Curious why they would port the inlet and only clean up the exhaust side, when it is common knowledge that the exhaust side is where rb's need the most work
  20. Fitzpatric speed works has a set of 1.5mm o/s for sale for $600, but im sure you already know that
  21. Seriously mate, noone is going to buy it if you cant tell us what it does
  22. Easy fix gloria, buy one off trent
  23. Only if you dont have NVVS, rb25 have a different intake camwheel, but rb26 is fine
