  1. And definately sell your PFC, the ap engineering ones are wowrth about $1800. The neo will bolt straight in, just remember you will need to upgrade the turbo to a steel highflow to get any real power out of it(>200rwkw)
  2. How many ms duty cycle are you running on the coils?
  3. I would get the injectors looked at, at the best of times, rx7 injectors have a poor spray pattern not really suited to iston motors, yours may just be dirty. When you say they are fouled, do they come out smelling fueley or are they just black?oily?
  4. Yep, wont fit, unless you get rid of the vct. It has been found that its better to leave the inlet, especially if the cams are standard. Just fit the exhaust cam wheel, and set it to -4deg, youll notice a good gain.
  5. I would get a whole new set from ARP, they aren't really expensive, otherwise theres a chance another ont will break when you put the cams back in.
  6. Only way to upgrade injectors with the standard computer is to remap it
  7. "For example, my celica had a 3inch hiflow cat, i decided to put in a 3inch decat (looks kinda like a cat but its hollow), notice a very small difference but this would be because i already had a nice flowing cat. Anyway i had to get my plates changed from QLD to WA and i forgot that i had left the decat on it. Passed visual inspections cause the guy was a retard and it also passed the emissions test. This was a car that i hadnt tuned yet and was running the very rich base map tune, and the exhaust consisted of straight pipe and onehks cannon. No dramas..." I would be very curious to see what emissions test that passed? There isnt one with a blue slip
  8. Just curious, if the nismo AFM is the Z32 sensor in an GTR housing, wouldnt it peak earlier than a Z32, as more of the air would go through the sensor due to being in a smaller housing?
  9. I think teaznR33 just tried this, and the stagea block is not drilled for the 2wd sump like an rb26, that and maybe the pickup would be the only concern.
  10. Evo turbos really only fit evos, they spin the other way, and are a twin scroll split pulse, so wouldn't come close to fitting the manifold.
  11. Once again Nick, your too cheap, how are the rest of us meant to get anything for our parts if you keep giving them away, gl with sale.
  12. Im assuming two gt28rs's, and what the hell is CVVT, RB26's dont have Variable Valve timing
  13. I would check the trouble codes, its probably a dry joint solder in one of the AFM's, or a coolant temp sensor problem.
  14. Are you chasing a boost leak, or an exhaust leak?If there is an exhaust leak there(which must be underneath, as there definately isnt one in the photo)Then it has to be very bad to affect boost, bad enough that it would be quite loud, and it usually occur at the head-manifold flange, as the rb20/25's tend to break the end studs due to thermal expansion of the manifold
  15. Ive seen 860RWKW with a pair of 4inch cats, this was a horsepower hero dyno beast, if there was any real gain to be had, it wouldn't have had cats "If yous are worried about punching a cat out cause of the effects to the atmosphere, do not modify your car and get an aftermarket computer which is illegal in NSW as it plays with the emissions, thus effecting the atmosphere." Plenty of aftermarket computers can be tuned to be more fuel efficient and better emmissions than the factory 9.5:1 AFR at full load, i remember reading that 60% stock cars 5 years old would fail the drive cycle.
  16. You would have to get the block sonic tested, or fitting sleeves isnt heaps expensive, just depends on the cost of the sleeves, they can be exxy in some sizes
  17. Can i at least get my steering rack back?
  18. Im pretty sure the pipes face the wrong way, if your going to go to that much trouble of modifying an intercooler, you are better off going for an r34 gtt one or an ARC one , they come up on here for $250-$300
  19. The mark right at the end of the arrow is a casting mark, the heatshield has a crack(or 2), but dont worry about them. The manifold gasket between the turbo and the manifold seems fine, as there is no discolouration or evidence of carbon buildup.
  20. Without having data of ex manifold vs inlet man pressure at low load levels, there is really no way to know how much difference to the off boost torque developed. However slight, a reduction in ex man backpressure would allow an increase in cam overlap, and volumetric efficiency. However saying that, rb30det's tend to get significantly more power with no boost (usually 130rwkw) than a standard rb30, even with their lowered comp ratio. This indicates the backpressure of the turbo doesnt significantly affect developed power/torque. I think it would be interesting to see how much could be gotten out of a gcg/slide highflow with the WI, as from my experience they seem to end up running into detonation problems when trying to give them any real timing, especially on the NEO
  21. Have tried to email him without any luck! Will try to call later in the week
  22. Aftermarket springs, dont skimp here, HKS ones are about $400, N1 or r33 gtr pump with $150 proengines collar a must
  23. about $30k
