  1. you need to make a custom bracket to mount the wastegate, and the split dump you have probably wont suit/fit a t3/t4
  2. GTRs dont have front mounts from the factory, not according to the cop who defected my mate.haha
  3. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Cummon who are you kidding, i would say camgears are essential to getting the expected performance gain from cams, cam timing can easily make 20 or 30 rwkw difference, even 20 with stock cams.
  4. There is no rocket science to camgears, although the earlier HKS ones were known to slip or strip the bolts. It all comes down to the tuner, although some marks help, 1deg marks are no better than 2 deg.
  5. It sounds like more of a problem with the fitment than the product. If its still got an afm, then it is unlikely to cause much if any change in fuel economy.
  6. For what your after, i would recommend 256in and 264 ex, still maintains good off boost torque and idle.
  7. is that with a neo?
  8. I sanded my standard gtr plenum smooth, then had it alum ceramic coated, looked good no cracking and only cast about $80
  9. KKR does not fit straight on, they require the dump pipe, and water oil line mods, allow $1400 Fitted. They tend to not have the response of a slide high flow.(which bolts straight on)
  10. I would say 230-240rwkw if only running 14psi, no need for fpr, 550cc injectors are good for 350rwkw without a reg.
  11. falcon coils, no ignition expander. you will need igniters or cdi to switch the coils though. Have a look on the motec wewbsite, its fairly self explanitary
  12. talk to NXTIME, hes got some of this stuff for sale, and can point you in the right direction. I think he's gt some 310deg cams 4 sale.
  13. 4ms wont burn out mitsubichi or ford coils, weve tested them extensively, and thats the point where they produce maximum spark energy, any more and there's no gain. Nissan coils will burn out in no time though.
  14. Ive got SPS's in my starion, when i got them made, i was under the impression that they dont make the pistons, they buy in the appropriate blanks and machine them to suit, the ones i got were cosworth forgies, but i think they use other brands as well.
  15. I would get a set of EL falcon ignition coils and run wastespark, there is no problem with wastespark, as heaps of factory and high performance cars run it. Set your dwell time to 4ms. If down the track you find that you need more spark grunt, you can easily fit a 4 channel cdi unit($600)and the coil block which is quite neat is about $120 brand new from ford. The coils even have the cylinder numbers already marked on it to make it easy to hook up the coils to the spark plugs.
  16. I dont think earls make thier own oil coolers, they are just spearco coolers, hence they are quite expensive. There are plenty available from just jap and the like for much less. Best off fitting the coolerm then measuring what length hoses you need. No need to upgrade the hoses as long as their in good nick, so check them for abrasion. Really good idea to fit an oil cooler thermostat, mine was $120 from motorsport connections, that means that you can fit a bigger oil cooler without danger of overcooling or taking a long time for the oil to heat up. I think my cooler is about 28cm x 18cm.
  17. i smell a ban, maybe you should read the rules newby
  18. Sounds like r & r, but there may be another problem, maybe turn the boost down and do a trouble code check.Maybe reset the computer first
  19. Great results, it would be interesting to see how much of the power is due to the increased boost, i would guess 12-15kw
  20. yep, have you checked the ex wheel to see if its ceramic?
  21. Does it do it worse hot or cold?
  22. Ive toyed with this idea, and would also like to know.
  23. Todd wilkes Gicottoll omade 1200 rwhp with two of these on 18psi, but he had a full house 5.8 spinning them with a modified 1.06 ex housing.(The engine flowed soo well that the car was going over 15psi horsepower heroes limit with both 50mm exwastegates valves removed, thats why we machined out the ex housings)
  24. I see the problem-bunnings, they sell stuff to fix your garden, would you buy a plant from repco? Go to cbc bearings and get some superclamps or t-bolt clamps, they are under $5 ea unless you want them in full stainless.
  25. Im certain that some rb25's have adjustment on the intake vct cam pulley, ive seen it, unless it was modded, but it looked standard. The adjustment was on the back of the pulley where the outer part of the pulley attaches to the center vct part, the holes wewre slotted. Has anyone else seen this?
