  1. I actually dont think they are vg30 sensors in gtr housings, as by my calculations, the gtr has the same sensor as the vg30, it reads more due to its increased size.
  2. The dish ran away with the spoon
  3. lol to all the people saying surge isnt flutter, they are teh saem thing as the car above on the dyno, just happen when you lift off instead of under load. As far as the turbo is concerned it is the same thing(running too far to the left of the compressor map past the surge line)
  4. Looks like there is plenty of room under the manifold, you could drill the manifold threads and fit bolts with nuts on the underside. Still have to spotface the housing for the bolts to sit though.
  5. And lose the factory nitriding, no thanks. If it were my new motor, i would either get the correct nissan graded bearings, or the acl race and just check them. Why the new crank/block?
  6. If yours is a late series 2 with the palstic cam angle sensor then the motor should go straight in. May need to change the injector plugs
  7. What sort of power are you hoping to make. For a good street setup with good fuel economy, i would go about 9.2-9.4:1 c/r, stock r33 rb25 cams. Stock inlet manifold gt3076 1.06 on a stock manifold or a 3582 1.06 on something aftermarket. Just need to remember you wont be able to run big boost numbers, so you may wish to run a slightly bigger turbo than your power wishes. Your only other issue as cubes said is the gearing, as freeway speeds is just revving too high to get great economy, But 8l/100km is still pretty good.
  8. Or fit rb30e arias pistons to an rb30/25NEO for around 8.8:1 comp
  9. Yeah, but then you would put an rb20 in it for the revs
  10. For that reason you shouldnt tighten the bolt with a breaker bar, as it can crack the block, snug is good enough
  11. ^^^^Did you look at the rest of the filter before making that comment.
  12. One of my mates has an evo9. He raves about legnums and would buy one as a second car except he cant sell his r33
  13. Falcon is 1600 for the manual and 2300 for the auto, so an auto xr6 might scrape through
  14. The towing capacity of the vz is 1700 kg for the 6 or 2100 for the 8, so towing the r33 isnt really legal...just saying
  15. My guess is that at 120,000k service, the dealer said "Mate its up far a belt, thatll set you back $600 on top of the service" To which mate replied "Can it wait till the next service??" Its unlikely the dealer would forget that the 120 is a major service, as its another reason to make more money.
  16. I have a small and large mac valve which i can measure for you if you are interested, were you thinking of running a small one or a large port one?
  17. Do you know this for a fact, imagine if you lose your keys, i cant see nissan being able toi hit you up for $10000, new steering column etc. They will simply reprogram the ecu to accept thet new key code im sure. Someone on here lost both keys, and had to get it towed, but im sure it was nothing major.
  18. Auto one/repco, and refit the stock BOV to stop the overfuelling on overrun.
  19. Can you use a socket
  20. Bear in mind you shouldnt run a front mount intercooler if oyu have the throttle body before the blower. When you back off, the entire intake system is still pressurised, and the car still accelerates briiefly.
  21. Did you get that off the plazmaman salesman? They only use half of the stock runners, so a reduction in low/mid torque is inevitable.
  22. Pull tham off, give them a clean, check they arent siezed, and vac test the diaphrams, there isnt much else that can go wrong with them.
