  1. I got one for $220, but they are usually a bit more than that, otherwise there are aftermarke ones new for not much more
  2. I would close up the plug gaps to .8mm, then refit the standard bov. the car wasn't running lean because of the ecu, it was the fuel pump. Lean mixtures are easier to ignite, so by replacing the fuelpump you have made the miss worse. If the plugs dont fix it, check the coils. might not hurt to chech the cam and ignition timing.
  3. Just deciding on a turbo for a customers car, 34gtt, either a 2871inwg in a modified nissan ex housing, or a 3037in wastegate, or a gt35r .84 ex wastegate , he wants 300rwkw, but i think this will be pushing it. Any ideas?(99% street 1%drags)
  4. 4 thou of end gap clearance per inch diameter of bore is safe, dont worry if its a bit over that though
  5. These manifolds are set up to run a Q45 throttle body, and would require an adapter to fit the standard throttle body. If the group buy ever goes ahead, i can make these. My concern with getting them sent from japan is that they are $310, and then we could get hit with duty, wheras i have already found them for $319, but waiting for someone to have stock

Wow, this ebay guy got back to me in like twenty minutes, he said he can do it sea mail for 616 pounds for 10 sea mail(4-8 weeks) or 1146 pounds air mail, big difference. $155.80 each sea mail or 290 ea air mail, or$310 EMS. He says he only has limited stock, so he will sell us his last ten if we want them.

  9. You need to figure out exactly what 300zx turbo it is off, if its off a vg30dett out of a z32 300zxtt, they are tiny, as they are designed of a lagfree 1.5l motor. The ones people usually use is not off a 300zx, it is off a vg30det(3lt 24v single turbo)which is about twice the size of the above turbo. This is an upgrade to what you have got, but comes with quite a lot of lag. The only other turbo that it may be is off a Z31 300zx turbo, but these aren't roller bearing, but are quite large
  10. I would just bolt them together with the restrictors and remote oil feed to the vct. Cc your chambers and pistons( you dont need to pull them out) and chech your deck heights to find out your comp and squish, i would go for high 8's:1 comp amd about 35 thou squish, so you may have to deck the head or block of fiddle with head gasket thickness, get a steel head gasket and your done. Dont try to get 1000hp, and it will hold together. You may wish to put a good set of big end bearings in it though. This should be good for a safe 550hp if tuned well, as above this the rods go

  16. If you have a collar, it makes all the difference, and i wouldn't bother putting a r33 pump on a 32 crank, or a 32 pump on a 33 crank, sure they all fit but u lose the benefit of a wider drive.
  17. If you only want 500-600hp why use a single at all?
  18. Tune it in RWD, it doesn't make any difference, there is no need for a road tune except to setup the accel pump settings.

  20. Ive heard this before, why do the front and rears need to be the same width, i would have thought as long as the rolling diameter is the same, you could run different widths ie: 245/40(f) and 275/35®

Hi, im sorry, but im so sick of people f#$king me around, i now understand why the ebay guy isn't replying to my emails, its because he cant deliver them, im willing to bet he will reply in about a month when he gets them, why couldn't he just tell me that. A r34 gtt throttle body would in theory fit with the same adapter as a R33 throttle body, however they are very long with the two butterflies, so i cant comment on how tight if possible the piping would be, you could just lose the traction control and fit a Q45 or R33 one if you were so inclined. Sorry guys, im not leaving you in the lurch, there is just no piont in posting every time i email these guys. Ill try autotechnica again this week as the ebay guy doesn't seem to be getting them too soon.

  23. I would check for trouble codes, could be going into limp mode, as 2 psi less shouldn't make it feel doughy and unresponsive. If its like a 300zx computer, after it detects knock a certain number of times it locks into a low-octane map with less boost, more fuel and less timing until it gets turned off and restarted.

Hi, im planning on fitting either a safc2 or safc neo to my wifes mitsubishi RVR, the car will stay basically standard maybe a front mount and exhaust and a bit of boost, Just trying to get some decent fuel economy out of it(it gets 20l/100km)and it gets grannied everywhere.(ps its auto)Just wondering what the differences between the two are
