  1. I have a standard r32 gtr plenum, located in sydney, $300
  2. The NEO definately has solid lifters, and a different vct system ive heard(although it looks the same)The combustion chamber is much smaller than the r33. the NEO has 34mm inlet and 30mm exhaust valves
  3. Dont forget to set the dwell to 1.8ms or you will cook the splitfires
  4. I called them today again, and the rep said he would call me back, he hasn't called me yet, maybe he will let me know onn monday, apparently they are in customs
  5. HI guys, thanks for the interest, all i can say at the moment is im getting really sick of autotechnica, they dont return calls very often, today they said they will definately ahve them next thursday(24th), but i would think that they could give me a price. All i can do is wait, i apologise
  6. Yes, although you may wish to upgrade the AFM
  7. I use an innovate motorsport LM1 for road checking(about $700 with sensor)and have found it to be very good.Has anyone tried one of these chips/daughterboards?
  8. i agree with most of this, except "Now when tuning a car you must use a correct ramp rate on it.If the wrong rate is used the car will be out of tune."Running in the wrong mode(eg Shoot 6F) in a 4 cyl only changes the ramp rate. On the road, the engine sees 1000's of different ramp rates(different gears and hills)so a good tune with a good ems, will work in any mode. You need to remember that they are a diagnostic tuning tool, and DD's have tried to compensate for the variables to provide a level playing field in different conditions. We ran the two dynos side by side at powercruise, and took a car off one and put it on the other, and.5hp difference.
  9. and the density of the hot air that the turbo is trying to compress means that it has to work harder, which makes it even hotter.
  10. I should know monday, I have a 34 gtt throttle body, so will check it out for you BUT, it would have to fit the standard R34 GTT Traction control throttle body too...... hmmmm
  11. I will call tomorrow, they said ten days when i rang nine days ago
  12. Dont be detered by others, its really not hard at all, and i think you end up with as good a result as a pfc. I have the software the deencripts the code(you need an eprom burner)and puts it into the relevant maps(low and high octane fuel maps and low and high octane ign maps) They are also graphical and the numbers you tune in are direct air/fuel ratios ie 14.7.. but you have to convert those numbers into hexidecimal which is a bit tedious. You can select where closed loop is(you add a set amount to the hex value to turn on that function) We did it very successfully on a r32 gtr and z32 300zx.PS if you get a consault interface then you can see what cells you use in a power run in map trace. Live editiing is also possible with an eprom emulator. Hope this helps. PS shoot us you email and i will find the software(i think there are 3 different programs we used.
  13. I dont think an mr2 with an exhaust would make 169rwkw in shoot4, as they make 112rwkw standard and a cat back only bumps them up to 120[
  14. i do dyno tuning for a living, and i would say that any computer will make similar power, but its everywhere else that you do 95% of the driving, and i find the interpolation of the load points on the microtech to be somewhat poor.
  15. $450 with cross drilled machined front rotors(never been machined, almost new thickness), pads and hoses. Still on car.
  16. Steam pipe bends are mild steel cast bends(called black steel), not mandrells. They are called long or tight radius butt weld(you can buy them with a thread on them)steam pipe bends in the blackwoods catalogue. I think they are called that as they are used extensively in boilermaking, also handrails? They are available in two different thicknesses and manifolds are made of the thinner ones(approx 5mm wall thickness-grade 40)there is also a grade 80(10mm wall thickness!!)hope this clears it up
  17. maybe ask them about adaptronic or wolf
  18. I work next door to noltec, ill see if they have any fitting instructions tomorrow.
  19. They are on ebay for $185-195 per pair, so i think the price is entirely believable.Just hope the quality is good.
  20. At this stage im not certain about some aspects of these, im going off what the rep told me, sorry none for rb20, although you could probably make an adapter plate.Dont know $rrp. I believe the standard throttle body will fit. It does have IAC provision, and it does have a water bleed. Will let you know when i have more details.
  21. Hi, autotechnica will have these in australia in about two weeks, and i was wondering if there was any interest in a group buy, i will have to give them an idea of numbers. They cant give me a price at this stage, but i am hoping that they will go for about $350+postage. The site says that they will fit a 33(side feed) and a 34 (top feed)and they appear to have the holes for both fuel rails. Just leave your name if your seriously interested and ill see what i can organise.
  22. i made 327rwkw at 18psi out fo a stock gtr with a .63gt35r
  23. I think they are about $2100 with sensors and loom, if your mate has tuned other computers, then he will love an autronic
