  1. Is the dome hitting hte head or the valves, you can easily get the pistons flycut to clear the valves
  2. Pretty sure you will need to run the solids
  3. Did you get advise to do this. the prepump only has to be able to supply the amount of fuel that the engine uses, with no restriction, so 2 070's i would guess will flow about 50 litres per minute, even at WOT, are you running a 2000hp engine on methanol which could empty the tank in a minute? All it does is incerease the temp of the fuel.
  4. There must have been something wrong, as rb25 AFM's max out at about 220rwkw each, airflow is airflow so 2 will max at around 440rwkw, how was the scaling on the PFC setup, as i cant see them hitting 5.1v on a 3582 @ 20psi even if its a 1.06 housing.
  5. Or rb25 afm's, about $100 pair and good for 420rwkw
  6. Just because it has 68k, dont assume anything, my gtr had 53000 genuine km, and 2 cracked pistons
  7. Only with the 1.06 exhaust housing, and then its not going to be that responsive on an rb26.
  8. Check your oil pump drive, as even the longer r33 ones are prone to wear. Just bear in mind you will be better off with lower comp rb26 pistons than fitting a thicker headgasket to give the desired comp. What turbo are you planning on running?
  9. And black like yo mama
  10. Any pics of gauge yet, please pm me when you dig it out of the shed
  11. What are your future plans with the car, power wise
  12. How does the pedal feel
  13. I wouldnt use lfter additive, as they tend to gum everything up. Either use diesel oil for a bit, clean the lifters, or you caould use some engine flush, but i dont like using that on high km motors. Are you sure ti isnt a leaking exhaust manifold gasket, as they can sound very similar.
  14. Have you seen if there is still a restrictor in the vacuum hose that goes to the solenoid?
  15. If the rod broke the cam, im hoping it wasnt your VW motor. Its an interesting idea though, raising the pressure to get more fuel through the injectors, which kills the pump flow to the point it cant feed the injectors. However remember if the pump couldnt keep up, the rail pressure goes down and the flow goes up.
  16. There is no real way to satisfactorly tune a power fc or any other AFM ecu with an atmo BOV, the BOV just adds way too many variables into the metering equation. too tight and the reversion effects the afm, too loose and they bleed boost which effects mixtures.
  17. They are fine, just fit better bolts
  18. Easy, slide the 65mm shaft into the 75mm shaft, simply find what gauge sheet steel you need to wrap around the 65mm so its a snug fit. Make sure the unis line up as factory (if it has unis) bead of weld and you are done. Make sure the 75mm shaft is cut to the right length so the weld is at the flange. then get it balanced by a shop.
  19. Agreed, you are assuming the air has +ve pressure before the comporessor wheel being forced in by the movement of the car. The opposite is true, as the comp wheel is sucking the air
  20. Do a diagnostic check, and see if there are any codes. Im not sure you can use the rb20 MAF with a series 2 ecu
