  1. Sounds about rignt
  2. Take it to a mechanic who knows what he is doing. Start with a diagnostic check
  3. What plugs are you running, hotter plugs(heat range 5)will help
  4. Dont know who told you you have to remove the exhaust manifold to replace the sensor, as they are on the other side of the motor
  5. Direct injection?
  6. TBH buy a normal car. I made this mistake buying an import for my wife. She never boots it, it goes through heaps of fuel, and you cant get cheap insurance.
  7. Probably a shot AFM. I would check the trouble codes
  8. Support it partially with the exhaust. IMO it is usually the exhaust that causes the problem, imagine the force that an unhung exhaust puts on the manifold as you are bouncing along in a lowered car. I also machine both manifold surfaces before fitting and whenever refitting if necessary.
  9. All i know is the two times i have used the cheapies, both have made over 300rwkw and are still going strong 4 years later.
  10. I would just get a chinese one and mount the turbo and exhaust correctly, if fitted correctly they often last ages. Its when they get fitted with the weight of the turbo and exhaust hanging off it that they crack
  11. What are you using to measure that, and how does it run. That lean and it would be unhappy
  12. Are you running a restrictor on the turbo oil feed?
  13. If you put solid lifters in then it changes the whole ball game, then i imagine the head will need the same mods as a 26 one to work.
  14. I dont know about 26 cams being drop in, not on the motor that i tried, lost about 50% power all the way up to 5000rpm when we gave up and put the stockers back in.
  15. Ill take them if not aold x2
  16. Doesmt look like its a laggy as it was on your car though?
  17. Have you tried cleaning the outside of the radiator, just hose it out from the back without bending the fins.
  18. colder plug would only make the problem worse
  19. I wonder if an aftermarket (or factory)fuel pressure reg would be up to the temps? Should be about the correct pressure.
  20. I have dramas with my innovate, as i believe it is too close to the turbo, about 20cm. Interestingly innovate sell a bung extender/heatsink to alleviate this problem.
  21. Stop putting $150 plugs in, they dont help. Either it is running too rich, which could be too much cold start enrichment, accell enrichment, or you have a weak spark.
  22. Gee towies must be cheap down there, in sydney you would be looking at about $200
  23. Somehow i dont think that kit will fit his car
  24. The tuner should be able to tell on the dyno, just slowly increase boost until they become inefficient, or you make enough power. If it is a stock motor i wouldnt be going over 18psi
  25. But, just remember thar a bolt is far far more likely to strip the thread in the head. with a lot less clamping
