  1. Good work, although 1.5thou isnt 3.8mm
  2. Ed on v-eight.com has 8 enlarged rb26 throttles on his supra, i dont think it cost too much http://www.v-eight.com/tech_forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=44
  3. Maybe trent can do back to back power runs with the humidity comp set to 2 different amounts and see the difference?
  4. If you clamp the return line, the fuel pressure will go over 100psi with a good pump(ie not a stuffed one)
  5. sooo many commas
  6. No, i didnt forget to convert to kelvin, adn the early adaptronics didnt have IAT input
  7. All a/f ratios change the same with iat change the same amount if not compensated, so its not something that needs to be setup on the dyno, one map suits all. I have personally tuned an old Adaptronic before they came with an IAT sensor. The owner went away and fitted a water/air intercooler where previously there was none. Full load A/ratios went from 12.0 :1 to 13.4:1 If the ecu had been fitted with an air temp sensor with the correct values(the same table that autronic has in its code/ its a gas constant) then the ecu would have compensated almost perfectly. We worked with andy to do the first MX5 plug and play, and the turnaround was excellent.
  8. Im pretty sure you can fit a gt35r down there. could easy fit one on mine, but its a 26 version of the manifold which is a little different
  9. Guys just for clarification the stock reg is not rising rate, they are 1:1. Rising rate regs increase the fuel pressure more than the manifold pressure increases.
  10. Just make sure you replace both of the studs with new nissan ones, They have been known to fail.
  11. Shouldnt be too much to get another shipped over
  12. The way i look at it is if the rectriction is causing it to loose 50rwhp, then removing the restriction means there is 50 hp worth more air going through the motor with the same fuelling. 95% time it will be fine for a short squirt, but i wouldnt risk it without knowing whats going on.(but i have a wideband so i have no excuse)
  13. There probably are, but i havent investigated. If you have a look at an aftermarket sensor, it is a small diode or a piece of nicronium wire, which is sensitive and reacts quickly. The nissan one reacts very slowly, which is fine for what it does with the stock ecu, but its role is far more important with a map sensored ecu.
  14. High backpressure increases reversion, which decreases fuel requirement for a certain load, reduce the backpressure and the fuelling requirement increases. With an AFM car this increased airflow is compensated, wheras with a map sensored car it isnt.
  15. Yeah, i wouldnt be using a nissan one as you have the choice.
  16. Unitl it leans out and pops the motor, do it on the dyno
  17. BUt the point is that there is a big difference between a 3076 and a 3582. Leaning moderately on a 3076 will see around 300rwkw, with good response. Making 300rwkw out of a 3582 is a waste of a bigger turbo, as it will be laggy. At the end of the day there is only 2 ways you are going to make this setup responsive, fit a 3076, or fit a 3litre with a .82 exhaust housing.
  18. You need to remember that the R in an A/R is effectively the radius of the exhaust turbine, so when your exhaust housing was opened up for the 3582 wheel, it decreased the A/R, possibly to .5
  19. Which kkr turbo was the housing off? FWIW i made 327rwkw on a 3582 .63 @ 18psi on a stock 26, but for the power i felt it was slow to make boost/had a high boost threashold, but was not laggy between gearchanges.
  20. NO offense, but your turbo is a bitsa, front is capable of over 360rwkw, with a tiny exhaust housing that is probably worse than the .63 garrett. Im surprised hypergear suggested such a setup
  21. I wouldnt worry about the crank collar and oil pump, just leave whats there. Are you still running the highflow, if so there will be no need to hit the limiter. Set t he limiter high, as i believe an overrev to say 7200 is better for the motor than hitting a hard limiter at 6500
  22. But which way would you have the check valve? It meant to be able to breathe in and out, as the fuel is used and expands with heat
  23. Its pretty obvious that the Mines ship HAS leaned out your car compared to the 9.5:1 the stocker can go down to.
  24. Why dont you just move it?
  25. I agree proengines that the weight difference will be bugger all. sr20's weigh more than ca18's, and not because the crank is 10mm bigger.
