  2. I did some engine boring years ago, and just wondering how you coiuld machine a bore out of round? Taper i could see with bad honing practice, but nowadays the honing machines arent exactly rocket science, you arent hand honing with a drill

So by your way of thinking, every rb26 with a ported head revving to 8000 is down on power, strap a t88 on the side and i assure you the results will be different, velocity is proportional to volume, not boost. 48hp seems a lot, how much power was it making, if a stocker was making 300hp at the treads, surely porting hte head didnt reduce this to 250?
  4. I would give it a go, im not the worlds best tigger, but i did mine out of 6mm, with 12mm plate for the sump plug area, just make sure you bolt it to a block when you tack it and outside weld it, then remove and inside weld it.
  5. 20-30 minutes idling wouldnt have helped, neither woudl 2 hours dynoing under 2500rpm, i would do some high load tuning, but i doubt it will go away. 4000rpm full load(low boost) for 10-15 seconds at a time listening carefully for knock. Have you done a comp test?

  10. You can adjust target lambda in datalogit, I wouldnt recommend using the innovate for the feedback, as they have a very poor reputation for reliability
  11. I like how an extra 80hp is estimated to drop the 0-100 from 3.7 to 3 flat, at that rate ill have another 200 and do it in 1sec flat

  13. Unfortunately i think it is the style of sensor, it is a water temp sensor mounted in the air, being that you have the adjustment tables i would try a different sensor and adjust to suit

I just had the opposite occur, someone ran up the back of my wifes car(mitsu rvr)we were offered market value, plus extras(sunroof and factory bullbar)$7600 for a car we would have been lucky to get $4k then they offered us the wreck for $650 which i sold on ebay for $1100, we then cashed in our rego, greenslip and insurance.   18. I let my trucks idle for long enough for there to be oil on the thrust bearing before i push the clutch in, about 3 seconds, then off up a long hill, 600.000km original turbo and motor cant be too bad for them
  19. Only way to tell is to remove the heat exchanger, and have it pressure tested, or leave it off. Flush the coolant and see if it fixed. Do you know what was done with the vct port?
