Unless you are running higher than factory rev limit, or using big cams/springs, i would personally use a Nissan one, they are fine for 100,000k+, and not much more than the aftermarket ones.
Im pretty sure he was asking which side of the intercooler. There are arguements for either, and factory setups have it on either, so i dont think there is a major benefit either way

I would be bchecking your tps and try cleaning/resetting your idle solenoid. The ecu pulls timing out when it cat reduce the idle enough using the idle solenoid
