  1. Does it currently have a stock ecu, if so i would be checking the fuel pump, as there is no real other reason it would be running lean up top.
  2. When the timing is set, is the cas near the centre? Your harmonic balancer may have slipped, and your setting the timing very retarded.
  3. Sorry if it sounds obvious, but i would look at the engine number if i was buying the car.
  4. The pro-16 is quite $$$$'y
  5. as above, posted to sydney, thanks
  6. Surprisingly a dis-6 isnt a 6 channel cdi, its only one channel. To run 6 channel cdi, use a m&w pro-12, or a dis-4 and dis-2. I wouldnt have thought that the coil recharge time would be an issue when running wasted spark cdi, as there really isnt a recharge time. Also he is running an rb25/30 so there arent going to bo massive revs. PS 1jz's run waste spark from the factory and they dont seem to have ignition dramas. So do 4g63's
  7. I would try unplugging and plugging in the cas and AFM a few times just to make sure the connectors aren't dirty
  8. Standard rb26 ecu will run it fine, you may wish to talk to an auto elec about the wiring if your not into elecrtics, but its fairly simple.
  9. It certainly has been done, looking into today actually, looking for a cheap z32 ECU(if you come across one)
  10. Although i have never done it, im led to believe it can be done fairly easily.
  11. I seriously doubt that, it may be what the drivers excuse is though
  12. Just disconnect the stock solenoid, it probably wouldnt really work as intended with the 3037 anyway. The ecu wont know the difference. Are you using the stock ecu?
  13. You could just buy one off the forum, and have it shipped over, much less work
  14. Why do you want to rav it to 8000 to only make 230rwkw?
  15. They will go heaps furthere than that, more like 450rwkw
  16. You would use an rb flywheel and pressure plate, but why?
  17. I would do a diagnostic search, and check your cam timing
  18. about $600 and 80hp, but its all in the tune being setup to make use of it, put it on a stock car, and i would be surprised to see more than 10rwkw in it.
  19. Whichever way you go mate, just make sure you find out whats causing all the dead highflows first, id hate to see a thread in a few months "why did my gt3076 blow up"
  20. It is actually one of the easier parts of remapping the stock ecu, depending on the size of the bin file, you can either have two maps on the one eprom, with an external switch, or run two eproms piggybacked with an external switch. Alternatively you can set it up with the clutch switch grounding the water temp sensor, and map it appropriately
  21. how many are there? AFAIK there are two different garret comp housings and six different ex housings. I would speak to mafia, as thats the same turbo he has. I believe he thought a .86 3071 would offer the same response with a lower level of detonation, and slightly lower peak power potential(he is making 314rwkw 18 psi), although if you are considering more power down the track, a .63 3076r can be easily upgraded with only an exhaust housing when need be.
  22. I would want even that response in writing, ive tuned a few, and havnt found the response or boost threashold to be great.
  23. What 3076 are you thinking of running exactly
