  1. Alternatively you could do 2 power runs, one with a slow ramp rate, the other with a fast ramp rate, the lag would show as a difference in the boost threashold, but the power graphs would be useless
  2. Your 99% right, and are going by the common misconception of "lag". Lag is the response in a throttle off/on situation above boost threashold. Boost threshold is rpm based, and will not be effected by a larger intercooler. As such, lag cannot be compared on a dyno graph.
  3. I would have a look at pauls FAQ, but have a look at the sensor/switch check screen, and get someone to watch the screen whilst you drive it, see if anything blacks out.
  4. no, a series 2 r33 rb25 one may, but im pretty sure the mounting and the plug is different
  5. Measure it and have a look in the k&n catalogue
  6. Is your mechanic prepared to wear the warranty on the turbo outside manufcturer warranty if it shits itself?
  7. What management?
  8. Is it stock? I would do a diagnostic check of teh ecu, should show up a code
  9. Check all the fuses, there is a common problem, just cant remember what fuse it is
  10. It is probably trying to stall as you have blocked the return pipe, causing the air to shuffle past the afm. To block the bov, bolt some cut up coke can under the bov.
  11. Are you after gtr or rb25? They are completely different
  12. But remember that some of that 12.4:1 is the methanol burning as well. I dont know how much difference it would make though. Do you know how much w/m it injects in litres/minute at full load?
  13. You cant lower it with the rb26 sump, it comes very close to the crossmember as it is.
  14. Easiest to recirculate it, better running, emmissions and fuel economy.
  15. I think a few people would be interested in the CHRA number. Its stamped on a little plate on the centre housing.
  16. I have a single turbo gtr, and have tuned quite a few. IMO i think they are overrated, for less $$$, you can keep twins, get better response, and make far more power than the standard engine can handle. Dirtgarage is making close to 500awkw, with lowmount turbos. They stock rb26 internals are really only good for a long term 320rwkw, any more and it will go, just give it time.
  17. They are stronger, dirtgarage has had some holding good at 400rwkw without drama, just need some work with good rod bolts
  18. Dont forget mafia, not all your fuel goes through the injectors, and you can run leaner mixtures than most.
  19. I would be interested to see results such as above for afr and ex temp, as there are many things that can effect these independantly, not only inlet manifold distribution. My % that i use on the PFC came from looking at plugs after power runs.
  20. You have now repeated that twice. Do you feel that you should be offering this advice knowing the consequences of what you are suggesting?
  21. Probably just shy of 400rwkw
  22. But if it was setup to open and close automatically, then it should be legal?
  23. Reset your ecu first to ensure its not in the low octane map, although it doesn't effect idle timing
