  1. I wouldnt be warming up a new built motor by letting it ilde for 10 mins, its a recipe for glazing up the bores.
  2. But hot weather and/or a bad batch of fuel could certainly do it
  3. The main problem is that nissan australia most certainly do have the power to stop anyone being able to legally import AND register and r35, unless they go by importing it by the personal vehicle means, wherby you have to live overseas and own the car for 1 year before you bring it over.
  4. Nope sorry buddy, your wrong, the ecu varies the voltage to the pump depending on the load on the engine, to make it run quieter at idle, reduce fuel heating and increase pump life.
  5. Patrols have a live front axle, definately not in the sump
  6. Bet you make less power at 13 psi if its running a stock ecu.
  7. Im guessing its inlet if it fits all rb26's
  8. Maybe customs have it, and are trying to figure out the duty?
  9. Can you space the squirters down enough to clear the piston
  10. Pretty sure hks 272's have 10.2mm lift which will require head machining to clear the lobes, and hks step 2 valve springs. These cams are way overkill for the turbo you are running and are really 300rwkw + territory, my guess id you will lose power everywhere except at 6-8000rpm where you may gain 10-15rwkw, but the turbo will definately be the limiting factor.
  11. Pretty sure the rb26 oil squirters have a valve built into the banjo bolt so they dont open until the oil pressure gets up above 30 psi or so, hence removing them wont increase idle oil pressure.
  12. R32-R34 cas's are different R32-R34 ignition systems are different, do you know if it was configures in the previous car to utilise the internal or external ignitor? Do you know what the dwell is set to?
  13. stock ecu... ATMO BOV... Got to wonder why spend all the $$$$$ on a built motor, then loose all the drivability and power with these two things?
  14. Have you considered an Autronic SM2 or SM4? Do you know if the installed height of an r34 head is different, as that could explain why the r32 springs had such low seat pressure?
  15. I dont know if i would do this, but you could bridge the 5v feed that goes to the AFM and run that to the tps, it could have an internal fault in the pfc, or try the pfc in an r33, maybe its a warranty claim.
  16. Just wondering if you have pulled the blown rb20 apart yet, you may find the crank is stuffed, and a stroker setup isnt any more $$$
  17. Shouldn't need to worry about the ignition system, both have external igniters, ones at the back of the head, the other is in the coils. You can get a kit from jaycar to control the vct(you may need two of them, one to swith on, one to swith off) Im pretty sure you need to swap two injector wires, as they are wired in a different order. What remap are you going to run?
  18. Are you certain that none of the cooler pipes have blown off?
  19. I would swap the emanage for a remap with a z32 AFM, and use a bosch 044 fuel pump
  20. Was the oil restrictor removed from the oil feed when it was fitted?
  21. Water pump, timing belt/idler/tensioner, cam/crank seals, fuel filter, oil/filter, coolant, trans/diffs oils, brake/clutch fluid
  22. If the head has been converted to solids, and now has hydraulic cams, the the opening ramps designed to close the lifter will be opening the valve and therefore the duration of the valve lift will be huge, causing it to bleed off compression.
  23. Depending on which part of the ex housing you are talking about enlarging, if its from the throat in, then i have found gains in boost control on highflow turbos especially when you aid the flow to the w/g flap. however if you are talking about enlarging the diameter-ie the clearance between the ex wheel and the housing, its an old school highflow technique, and whist preventing overboosting, it also causes lag city.
