To the letter of the law, mechanical gauges(boost, fuel pressure, oil pressure) aren't allowed to be installed in the car. For the extra $50, does it have peak hold, if so, its worth every cent
I know it sounds crazy, but couldnt the mating surface of the rim where it contacts the hub be machined down by 5-10mm effectively changing the offset?
I would assume that 35psi would be way outside the efficiency range for this turbo, for that sort of power i would be looking at an HKS T04Z, as they tend to have wheel trims suited to higher pressure ratios, but you would have to look at some compressor maps.
SAS Silverwater Automotive Services do remapping, as does MRC in Castle Hill. Ive dealt with both and would highly recommend them. I dont think Quickfit do remaps
I dont mind the second wheel, but IMO the sizes arent really suited to a skyline, way too narrow. For that sort of money, i would just keep an eye on the for sale section, you can get some high quality rims that are around that price.
I have the greddy water pump pulley, adn it lines up perfectly with the balancer, however its not a stock balancer, so i dont know about the fouling issues.
I would check that greenline includes the Australian import taxes before you make the decision. For a street car, i would also recommend the smaller ex housing, in 90% road situations it will be better. The .68 may make 12rwkw less at 7000rpm, but ill bet it makes 20rwkw more at 3000rpm.
Just get some taller rear tyres, might look a bit funny, but they will be cheaper, and give better ride. What is the rear tyre sixe on your car? If you dont like the look, you could get bigger rims with not very low profile tyres, and it will make a big difference.
Hi, ive got a set af rims for my 32gtr, and love them. they are 18x9's, and i want to fit 275's on the back, so i want to widen the rear rim to 10 inches, has anyone had this done?
I just pulled apart a gtr AFM to see about fitting it to a larger pipe. Should be able to do the same with your stock AFM. If you fit the r33 gtst AFM into a 4in pipe, it should max the afm out at about 360rwkw(based on stock r33 afm 78mm internal bore maxing at 220rwkw)
Im hoping to make 450rwkw, whats your recommendation? I was going to use the guts out of a gtr AFM and put it into the 100mm intake, and pair the outputs, but by my calcs it may well run out of scope.
Hi guys, Performance Metalcraft do a good sump, wings baffles and one way doors. Works a charm.
PS; I have had oil surge in an RB26, RB20 and RB30 so I see no reason why an RB25 would be any different
They are about $500
I would definately try to use the JJR one if you can modify it to fit. It will be cheaper and better in the long run, as long as the wastegate gets full movement
