  1. Dont know about a sunny, unless it has an rb26 lol. All the rb ones are interchangable, you could fit a VL one if your on a budget
  2. Dirtgarage rekons they are stronger than most aftermarket rods, and are fine for 500rwkw, he should know, he made 470awkw, just with rod bolts
  3. Do an engine diagnostic search, clean your throttle body. I think there are 2 idle motors, clean the one that wasn't replaced. Check and reset TPS. Most likely one of those.
  4. Whats the budget and power target. A mate has an sr with a 2871dp, great turbo allegedly makes 192rwkw at 11psi!!$1200 new
  5. Subaru, may be off an ea82-t, just cant remember
  6. Easy, just use an HKS cast manifold
  7. I would do that with maybe a 1.2mm H/G, dont drop the comp much as youll mess with the piston/head clearnace. BUT you need to cc everything, dont go on what ive said, as rb30et pistons vary, and the head may have been decked(mine or yours) at some time which will effect the result.
  8. What head work did you get done? Was there cam work? Maybe the head guy thought your tuner would do the clearances. Then the head guy is an idiot
  9. Does it run? What ecu?Simple mods or extensive?
  10. Definately are different, ive measure both and rb26 heads side by side, the above numbers are about what i got
  11. I would be asking the workshop what they plan to do about this, as it will end up with around 10.5:1 compression
  12. Pretty sure it will be optical pickup. Check dwell as Zoltarc said, and should be -ve edge ignition output, although as a plug in, all this should be setup already
  13. rb26 has solid lifters, so it doesnt need oil pressure to get to the head. If there is a knock, there is a problem
  14. Just get it tig welded up, unless you want to sell it to me cheap
  15. 4(b)could also be a stuffed fuel pump, if it cant generate enough pressure to overcome the FPR
  16. ARC do a panel type box with a cold air intake, they come up on here for sale.
  17. Not trying to sound rude, but the fuel is flowing through the fuel filter, then rail, then through the pressure reg.
  18. Building one at the moment, ACL race series RB30ET pistons, ends up between 8.5 and 9:1 depending on headgasket thickness, im going for 9:1(1mm headgasket)
  19. You cant, just use all the rb30 bottom end biits with the rb26 head and accessories. Before you start read the whole thread, and cubes pdf. link, just read 15 pages a night, everything you need to know is in the thread.
  20. Those turbos are rated at flywheel horsepower, therfore the one you picked is smaller than a gt35r. Plus they are gerret turbos with a different code, so it is probably a gt30r looking at the trims available. 44mm should be about right, but there is a thread in here on how to calculate the size
  21. Still doesnt solve the compression problem. The VCT camgear may be stuffed inside allowing the timing to flop around, maybe a busted spring inside it, never heard of it but....
  22. Bloody hell, must have been a long drill bit,
  23. Sorry mate got me stumped, looks like i neat setup, just ope you have some spacers/washers behind the cas, or it will break the cas when bolted down, common problem when not running a cover.
  24. Im confused, whos motor are we talking aboud now? NSTA or r33 turbs?
