  1. edited title. thanks. just a crap typist ('5' next to '6'). a few offers. replied to pm's. sorry for late replys
  2. the sticky thread has suggestions on all upgrades for an rb20det. if you read through you'll see results on various turbos. people who have actually experienced the different ones have given comment. i personally have used a rb25 turbo for a cheap/mild upgrade and also a hksGT2530. just have a read and try to sift through the bullshit and decide what you think is the result you're after and start sourcing one. sounds like you have a good base (apart from that exhaust) and a few more mods to come then just a turbo selection and a tune. have fun.
  3. Have a turbo from a r34 rb25 Neo for sale. includes accuator. Been run with rb20 accuator on a rb20 for 8months then sat idle on my desk in my room for past 6. Worked ok till i took it off. Great basic/cheap upgrade for rb20. Went pretty hard as its the biggest version of the rb25 turbo released. Has nylon compressor wheel so it spools relatively early and has a steel exhaust wheel i think Dunno what its worth really as dont really know the condition. Round 400 i guess. offers and queries to pm please. located in brisbane but willing to post at buyers expense. cheers
  4. also after a non turbo manual sr20 or ca18 silvia for my brother if anyone has one they no longer want. reply to pm
  5. speed limiter? i think i remember it being that colour.
  6. bump
  7. as title states. after a wiring lume for a rb20det (silvertop) prefer as good condition as possible. can anyone help me out
  8. i sold these items to michael. can vouch for condition and went HARD. sad to see you sold the car. it was a clean example. good luck with sale
  9. sorry to say man but if it squeals its f@<ked same thing happened to mine
  10. please pm as i dont check this thread often already sold lume and computer. motor complete.
  11. there is two main methods to modifying a car: one is to choose a power output and go all out straight away the second (and in my opinion the more common) is to modify a few things then get bored with the power and go bigger *either way the first thing should be a 3in turbo-back exhaust then later in a rough order: *pod filter with cold air induction or aftermarket air-box/filter *before raising the boost, front mount intercooler (anything approx. 600x300x75) *boost controller. this can range from bleed valve method to ebc. most ebc's on the market atm are good. go a blitz, apexi, greddy or jaycar *powerfc is good and fairly affordable for your model. they are also a plug-in making installation (and unistallation?) easy *bosch fuel pumps are good and in my opinion the easiest to install in a nissan (aside from another nissan one). suggest a 040 depending on power requirement *turbo depends on your performance requirement as does injector selection. just go a quality brand name option an you shouldn't have many problems *no real need for a bov. the standard one is fine, unless of course you want that full hektic sound hope this has been of help and i'm sure the others will add more usefull and technical knowledge
  12. dont actualy want to seperate the motor itself. pms replied to.
  13. td05 may work alright. mate uses a externally gated one on a ca18. its not too laggy, bit under 4000rpm i reckon (3800??). so this may work alright on a rb20. shouldn't imagine it'd make quite 210rwkw but it'd be responsive. but realistically your not goin to get much "low down torque" from an rb20 in my opinion, 4000rpm isnt really that laggy, depends what your using the car for but you mentioned not drag/dyno. a car will be quicker on the track with more average power (area under the curve on dyno graph) rather than peak power a slightly laggier turbo is better (in my opinion) for street driving anyway. uses less fuel, more forgiving in the wet, etc. remember boost is only a clutch kick away

  15. you cant increase the boost without some sort of boost controller. you could use the accutor off a rb20 turbo to increase to approx 9psi the spring in the turbo accuator is set at a certain psi so your mechanic cant just adjust it manually the 2nd option is just to use a bleed valve 3rd option is to use one of they many electronic boost contollers (ebc) on the market. these are more $$ but better functions i also found that addition of 3in exhaust and cooler increased the boost level
  16. does anyone have experience with a good tuner for power fc, round brisbane. plenty of places around i guess so just after experiences and costs really. as stated its for a rb20.
  17. am i reading you right? did you put "0.48" for latency?
  18. i know the ecu isnt exactly goin to love using injectors of a different impedance but what exactly would happen if you did? anyone using 550cc injectors in a rb20? could you please tell me what brand and what colour they are?
  19. roy is right on with that. the standard turbo doesnt give any real power at 3000rpm and you're certainly not goin to get near 210rwkw with something that does. i'm using a 2530. gets round your mark but full boost(16psi) is round 4000rpm. i dont know as i've never driven one but i dont think a gt28rs will get "good power" till round the same mark. certainly not on a 2L 6cyl.
  20. dont know how detailed you want it but its pretty simple. 1. take off piping 2. undo turbo to dump pipe bolts 3. undo oil and water lines 4. undo bolts from trubo to manifold can probably do steps 2-4 in a different order simple as. will bearly take you an hour
  21. "My understanding is driver training, track days, bike days etc. Just road vehicles and limited hours for noise rules." my mates dad is a manager at QR (or something). he pretty much said the above stated
  22. some items sold. original post edited. anyone keen on just the motor as i have lots of interest on box, mounts etc?
