  1. bollocks stevo. i'd be hard pressed to spend 10k on a race prepared 26 head even if i picked all the bee's knees bits. unless ur getting absolutely fooken raped to set a head up with a 'race port', new seats, custom inner spring seat, 1mm valves both sides, dual springs, ti retainers, nice big cams, cam cap studs & using supertech gear would set u back 6.3k (i have receipts if u want lol)
  2. some of the fastest timeattack/circuit cars run single tb's. 1 explanation i've been given from the owners is that the std plenum/tb's flow approx 30% less than say a hypertune plenum/90mm tb, throttle response is as good if not better. not to mention the std plenum is known to run leaner at the back than the front
  3. -6 coolant and -4 oil banjo's i would assume are metric, i'm guessing but they'd be around 12mm for oil and 16mm for water. just take a std banjo bolt down to ur local bolt shop and ask them the thread size/pitch
  4. what are the actual intake temps ur seeing? and where are they measured from It could be down on power if the ecu intake correction has been set 'low' for the setup
  5. Id only use the 1000hp ati balancer if u werent keeping the aircon and if ur going external belt driven oil pump & making over 600hp (engine hp) Id use the 600hp ati balancer if u were going external oil pump & making under 600hp (engine hp) Everything else id run the ross balancer. Its rated to 1500hp. Good for pretty much everyone on here. what makes u say that?
  6. does it have a dose pipe?
  7. did u bright sparks think of dropping the exhaust after the front pipe to see the effect?
  8. i think the psi's were around $1200 for a set dont quote me, and the supertech's are USD$459 (they come with their own titanium retainers) Depends how much ur spending/want to spend on the head, with the dual springs you'll need to get a custom inner seat made for the inner spring
  9. the psi springs (i think they are the same as the performancesprings) are rated as the bees knees in the top end springs (dual coil) by my head guy, jhh performance. its the quality of the wire used makes them good as they can happily sustain all the requirements of a high revving high load valvetrain. the daul springs arent cheap though and not really needed unless ur going to competatively race it, id look at some supertech or ferrea springs or the cheaper single coil psi spring
  10. so it only needed 3 rebuilds instead of 6
  11. What's this going to do to driveline wear and tear?

  22. yeh thats the way i meant, use a pwm output to control the pump via a relay and resistor. in the haltech its got a 32x32 map for it aswell. need to discuss it with my tuner though
