  1. f**k me its even been detailed did u take any data logs? if so what did the oil pressure one look like? (i'm using the same pump/line setup as u on a car i'm building)
  2. the problem with rb26 pistons is the dome, they are a 16cc dome whereas the rb30 piston is a -4.5cc dome
  3. 1. Same as Al 2. Same as Al. Also drop the oil into a clean container and sift it for bits of metal. If theres metal in the oil, expect it to spin a bearing very soon. 3. Just cut off the top lug on the alternator bracket u have and use it
  4. u dont need the cam cover baffles, the std ones work fine. Just pull them out and clean out the gausing the tomei sump baffle looks like this: which is better than nothing, however its better to get extra capacity aswell as better baffling like this: (this one is setup for an external pickup)
  5. i doubt ud find a workshop to do all that for 10k or under. also hks turbos are massively over priced, the garrett equivalents are around 2.5k
  6. rough cost for external: BDG Pump - $997.7 BDG Pump Pulley - $165 BDG Crank Pulley - $121 Bracket for mouting under alternator - $40 Peterson harmonic balancer adapter (ATI) - $250 Custom sump with external pickup - $800 Peterson inline filter (between pickup and pump) - $80 Braided lines - ~$500 or if ur using an internal pickup, u can weld 2 fittings onto a std oil pump and pickup and feed straight into the block from there, so u'd save on braided lines
  7. tongue in cheek well its good to finally see its done and ready to race
  8. i was gonna say that, but then u said they were keeping it running so i was confused thats not really going to work, because if u have the power coming from the battery (direct wired, which u should to get the best voltage possible) the pump will be on all the time
  9. expecting it to breathe heavy or something?
  10. just to clarify, this is a pull type clutch. and will only fit late model 32gtr's, 33gtr's & 34gtr's it WONT fit 32/33gtst's
  11. ok, so are you asking if u can cut the other 2 wires to/from the relay? caus if so u cant as u need all 4 wires to run the relay/pump u probably know this but: the trigger wire from the std loom tells the relay when to open/close the circuit. when the relay see's power from that trigger, it closes the circuit and u get power through the relay. if u dont have power in, then u wont have power out. if u also dont have the relay ground connected, the circuit will be open and u wont get power out.
  12. id be putting a DECENT oil pump on it, tomei at the very least whilst ur getting the head reco'd, may aswell get them to tickle the ports u only need 1 gasket set acl kit or if u want to put some boost into it get the tomei kit (for the better head gasket) match port all the pipes/ports whilst its apart mahle pistons are still fairly cheap bite ur nails waiting for the next 3 months to get it back
  13. 4 sides to the relay - 1 side will be power in (from battery) - opposite that will be power out (to pump) - 1 side will be relay ground - 1 side will be the trigger (from ecu) turn the relay upside down and you'll see some numbers: 30 - Power in 87 - power out 85 - trigger 86 - ground
  14. id say itd be the heat treatments gtr, they pulled 1800hp odd on a hub dyno recenlty (check out www.gtr.co.uk for the info)
  15. they dont do an rb20 set unfortunately
  16. f**k u roy
  17. drive it and u'll have to replace ur now fouled up plugs. why tempt fate? it wont be cheap to fix if it fails...
  18. second collector pic. looks kinda average where u can see the pipes coming in overlap the actual collector pipe. paying that kinda money i'd want it to be 110% perfect kyles collectors are better than that
  19. sure does paul, rolls right off the tongue...
  20. here's another way of running the oil drain with a custom sump.
  21. how many thousand did that set you back?
  22. u go past the sand dunes...
  23. hmm ok would having no oil restrictor and no oil feed filter cause premature bearing cartridge collapse? gt35r based question
  24. by longevity i mean how long do u go before your garrett turbo's bearing cartrige collapses? 6 months? 12months? shorter? and im talking a street car making 500hp+ with track days, a bit of drag racing, and street duites
