  1. This is excellent to see! Now we here in australia will be able to get our hands on this technology that the yanks have had for quite some time! Go's to show that borg warner, precision etc knew what they were doing
  2. they are close!!!
  3. 'excessive rear right pad wear' - soft, even if it had failed, there was plenty of run off at every big stop
  4. yes my mistake, bearing clearance i should have said. The pump bypass pressure still plays a part paul, as u said depends on what the bypass pressure the pump is set at
  5. Higher oil pressure will have a thinner film of oil between the bearings compared to a lower pressure. If you go around and ask a handful of different engine builders, most likely they will all have their own opinions of what oil pressure (and weight) they like to run. No, all 3 pumps run different pressures.
  6. I can see that having pressure drop issues up at the rail. You won't have the same pressure at each injector if you regulate the fuel before the rail, whereas with the fuel regulated after the rail, you wont ever have pressure issues i.e not all injectors will see the same pressure with it regulated before the rail. Probably fine for the family run around, but on a hi peformance vehicle i wouldnt even dream of doing it.
  7. If you do go the 1mm valves, make sur eu get the head ported by someone who has alot of experience and results, or u could go backwards.
  8. 1mm valves on the exhaust, std inlet. I hope you went a nice size cam aswell.
  9. Doing it that way could caus airation issues that could lead to fuel surging. Not the best idea.
  10. oh, well in that case go nuts dave!!!
  11. a t04z? dont do it, keep the 35 on it with a .82 and spend money on the head. that should see close to 600hp at the tyres with everything working properly
  12. Something flash. Shot peened plus a magnitude of other treatments all included in the price. Yeh Steve is the guy i spoke with aswell. They also do gearsets. Dog arrangement with forks, shafts etc between 8-9k. They list a synchro on their site but i didnt get a price on them. Axles and shafts they can do aswell, again didnt get price.
  13. Majortiy spin around 50% (half engine speed) 38tooth gear on pump 19 on crank. But you can increase/decrease that to suit flow and vacuum requirements. As an indicator, the BDG pumps flow 42cc/rev, now thats some oil!
  14. Still have the following & open to offers: RB30 block & custom 4wd Billet Girdle - $1900 Argo RB30 21mm conrods - $1100 Aeromotive Pro Series fuel regulator - $395 Carter GP4600HP fuel pump - $125 Custom 2l surge tank - $175 6boost Rb26 manifold - $1050 Garrett GT4202 0.91 A/R TV flange - $2250 "263ORB" Personalised plates - $900 Complete set of Upper & Lower Timing Cover bolts & washers - $150
  15. "NITTO has now released a new billet alloy backing plate allowing further stability to oil pressure and flow at high rpm levels by minimizing any possible flexing of the housing" Does this mean that they were finding their original ones with the cast backing plate were flexing? Also i remember reading from one of their previous pump descriptions that they were using EN46 for the gears...
  16. The line from the bottom fo the reg (return line) will need a -6 45deg fitting that screws onto the reg, and the other end just clamps over the std fuel line. Line length approx. 1m. These are the y block's i use - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-100181ERL and then you just use a 3/8 NPT barb fitting on the other end and run rubber hose between the fuel filter and the std hard tubing.
  17. cheapest way to do it would be to only have 1 feed into the fuel rail, block the centre port and have the line to the reg from the other end of the rail. Otherwise you'll need a y block which splits the single fuel line that runs under the car into two -6 lines that feed each end of the rail. I buy most of my fittings from www.summitracing.com as it usually works out to be the cheapest (delivery is usually between 4-7days). The other place i use is www.mscn.com.au if i need fittings the next day (overnight express post)
  18. For sale are 4x 4wd sump adapter kits that are left over from a run i had done recently. What's included is: - 5083 billet adapter plate - Full set of high tensile fastners - Laser cut template to drill, tap & notch the block Price is $550 + shipping. Alternatively they can be picked up from me in Ipswich, Qld.
  19. forward of the shockie tower and make the mani as low as possible
  20. you cant use any other engine mount dave, because as it is there's 2 parts of fook all clearance between the bottom of the diff and the cross member. i posted a pic in here somewhere showing how close it sits
  21. You use silicon gasket goo between the plates and then the regular gaskets on either sides
  22. The plates are 12mm thick so combined your looking at a spacing of 24mm. I highly doubt this will be enough to caus you any clearancing issues. If the bolt pattern and injector spacing is the same between the rb26 plenum and er34 plenum then they will fit, however i don't know the exact answer to this question.
  23. yeh i was bored Jensen Button - 77 Sebastian Vettel - 59 Rubens Barichello - 51 Mark Webber - 49 Lewis Hamilton - 38 Kimi Raikkonen - 33
  24. Did you compare this run to the runs of John Bradshaw's gtst in UK? (before it was transformed into a monster)
