  2. good thing i didnt get you one then
  3. jeebus i must be important for you to feel it necessary to use the plural homos and good morning to you dear
  4. lee as soon as ur able to get it give me a bell
  5. haha someone give this man a glass of water, caus he's on fire! even if i am mising a gear or 2, i'll still be flying past u down the straights, and around the corners, hell ill even go to the extreme in saying i could do it whilst in reverse
  6. yeah, she also said once i poke it, run away as fast as i can soo you didnt answer the question, or do u only want to sort it out over a mountain?
  7. haha ok then, the more the merrier! i'm booked in for the feb 2 (morning session) & march 28 (arvo session/awd comp) track days is Mr Squizzle gonna step up to the plate?
  8. its fine saying u've got a sheit load of power eddie, but how fast u can go is totally upto the driving skills and experience of the driver. however saying that, lee myself, andy & dave are going to settle all the banter of who'se cars faster at the track early next year, maybe u can come alnog to that and show what u got
  9. paul, it depends if he's doing it on the ground on axle stands or on a hoist with a gearbox jack. to get the correct angle on the box to pull it out/put it in whilst doing it on the ground, u need the tailshaft removed to allow room to move etc. (and its not a nice feeling having nice thick oil running down onto you )
  10. nope i got no idea what it is/used for
  11. morning ladies. back at work today *sigh*
  12. yeah u gotta take the tailshaft out. thats the first thing u should do. well either that or drain the gearbox oil, caus when u remove the tailshaft, and u go tilting the gearbox back, the oil will start to pour out the end. P.S u should know this, but just making sure. dont forget to remove the gear shifter from the gearbox before you go too far!
  13. striaght cut gears dont have syncrhos (a normal box has synchros except for reverse, hence the whine in reverse) and straight cut gears are the type of gears in the gearboxes referred as 'dog boxes'. the os giken gears are a 'cross mission' gear that uses synchro's, so they are still very streetable and have a good life span. so in other words, if its a race dedicated car with a decent amount of power then get a dog box, if its driven on the street also, get a box with synchros (i've also heard ppg are bringing/have brung out a gear set that uses synchros also, not entirely sure though) bite me b!tch

    Price Rise

fuel goes up 10c every wednesday nite, and then drops during the week. quite criminal if u ask me. filthy rich b@stards
  15. yeah and i dont think he (eddie) realises that dog boxes need constantly rebuilding. also for them to be have any decent life span, u cant go shifting at nything below 5k, ur ur just gonna wear the gears, and once they start wearing they wear dramatically fast.
  16. y would u bother when u can have an os giken 5 speed with new 33 synchro's for 7-8k?
  17. i've replaced a clutch from start to finish in 3.5hrs (that was with the car on axle stands). for the top 2 bolts, remove the gearbox rear cross member (2 19mm bolts eaither side) and lower the gearbox down to rest. now grab a jack and a block of wood and put the wood underneath the main crank pulley and jack it up a bit to change the angle of the engine (make sure u dont crush and lines at the back of the motor). you'll need to use all the extension bars for ur socket and an elbow join on the end to get to the top 2 bolts. this also makes it nice and easy to get the top starter motor bolt out. if you havnt found out already, all the gearbox bellhousing bolts (starter motor and clutch slave cylinder) are 14mm. hope that helps
  18. from what i've read in the manual (i've got both the r33 service manual and the 32 gtr manual) its fairly straight forward if u've got the right tools. i.e feeler gauges, torque wrench, press (couple hundred bucks will get you one) it could add up to quite a bit in a short time, caus of all the seals and that u'd need to replace.
  19. wtf man grab a pic or a diagram and label it and i'll be able to help you out
  20. i totally agree man ahh k so its not a brand spankin one. so the boasting point isnt all that much now eddie, seeing as u paid the same money as some1 could get a fully rebuilt 33 box with OS Giken gears (well u prolly paid a few k less)
  21. somehow no1 is going to believe that nice way to spend 12k boilermaker to do the engine mounts, ur very trusting yeah they're evo's are pretty slow rn't they
  22. yeah andy time to put ur money where ur mouth is boy. after the dyno all thats left is just the racing
  23. what happens to that arguement if the 2j can be grafted to the gtr 4wd system?
  24. cock eating champ? that's one i'd believe you hold *points and laughs* I got to work and at 9:15 i got reminded i had training today that started at 8:30, my bad!
