  1. simple, get -8 adapters to screw into the reg
  2. atm im waiting on the admins on here to get back to me as i need trader status. That was over a week ago when i asked them. if you want to retain your VCT, then there will be some welding required (look at the pics in post 66, near the vct solenoid) no adapters need to be used for the aac
  3. as funny as it sounds, that is exactly correct spose i could take some snaps and post em up for ya?
  4. are you able to say where abouts you got all these from?
  5. 32 gtr drag car low profile street weapon with high revving rb20/rowtree cima/fuga for commmmmmmmmmfort
  6. what rings and wrist pins are they? also what CR pistons?
  7. lunchtime is over, back to class kiddies!
  8. ur forgetting about the 500kg weight penalty everytime geoff drives it...
  9. no drives for you then joshy +1
  10. shutting the car up will lose alot of power u do realise...
  11. farken whoops. forgot all about it. it SHOULD be similar to the 25 setup, with a change of bolt location on the first plate. where are you located? i'd ideally like to have the car on hand to make sure it all fits. i'll PM u my number so we can have a chat about it - i have a few ideas
  12. Exact istructions and pics of what needs to be modified will be included in the kits upon purchase.
  13. im just back from the workshop and we've got it fitting perfectly. however as you said the vct solenoid & plug does hit the mani so it has to be cut and a piece of angle bar welded onto it. also one of the sensors needs to be moved to the underside of the mani. also the water outlet pipe (the bottom one) needs to be rotated anticlockwise (the hose still fits however). you can use the rb25 aac, but it needs to be relocated - a bracket will be included in the kit (bolt onto the top 2 engine mount bolts) clearance between the plenum and the brake booster/clutch cylinder and shockie tower is actually pretty good, id say more clearance than in a gtr i'll get some pics tomorrow and upload them
  14. mani fits and looks schmick its only caus he's black
  15. so its gone from "us making the turbo's" to "them making the turbo's" inside of 12months just when theres a heap of failures?
  16. yeh mate, 21mm pin Argo's and a set of CP 9:1 Pistons
  17. alot of the guys chasing big hp are using argo rods if u get john to do ur head, leave the valves, guides and springs upto him to get i've got a weaver 3 stage pump thats been rebuilt by jhh, but im thinking of moving to a 4 stage (2 sump scavenges instead of 1)
  18. sif i don know whats going on
  19. 800 at the treads is gt45r territory (aka T51R spl) with race fuel of course you'll need to be looking at oversive valves aswell, i'm going to some 1mm inlet and 2mm exhaust, with tomei 280 11.5 cams - my goal is 750 at the treads (gt42r) going the dry sump route is a very costly exercise, but oil control is the lifehood of an engine, its upto you and ur engine builder to decide on what to run
  20. i thought u said they were shit handling, overweight, understeering cops?
  21. like everything, yes and no lol. the way ur saying would work perfectly, but then we would have to supply the different hoses to block up the water pipes that are now obsolete, and then supply an oil cooler/adapter setup - both of which are added cost the other way is to get these adapters made which bolt the 25 aac onto the 26 plenum and its done. re daves car, speaking with mick yesterday, he is going to just remove the aac control all together, as the haltec has that function built into the ecu to control the cold running. i'm off to the machnist, see ya in 3 hrs
  22. i got half way through bolting it all to a 25 head, but i ran out of time. Hopefully i can get back out to the workshop this arvo after work. However i did find that you cannot run the rb26 aac as it fouls on the rb25 oil filter/oil cooler block. Adapters will be made to run the rb25 one (hopefully get out to the machinist today) Also the 2 end studs in the head need to be removed to make way for a recessed bolt.
  23. dont worry roy, dave is soft and is only using a 3071
  24. without having bolted it on myself, i cant 100% answer the aac question, but im going to guess and say itd be easier to use all the rb26 gear, and just redo the required hoses. This IMO would be cheaper and a better solution than having 3 plates made and bolted to the mani. Only thing youd change on the fuel rail side of things would be the injectors, to suit your ecu. In the case of someone using an rb25 powerfc, youd have to use Top Feed High Impedence injectors. However if you were using an ecu with tunable injector drivers (like an autronic) you could use any Top Feed injector, and edit the drivers to suit (this is my interpretation atleast, i may be wrong)
