thanks for the replies lads, much appreciated the top msd i can get for 250 cheaper than the autronic cdi, thats 1 reason why its a hard choice, the big thing for the cdi is that its made to interface with the autronic ecu's, but then msd is a big name ignition company...choices choices michael, i cant find any info on the mercury coils, hook a brother up?

Hi all, Upto the stage to start sorting out the ignition for the gtr. I'd like some opinions of what type of ignition system to use. I was thinking the MSD Blaster SS coils & MSD coil leads, but i'm unsure of what control unit to use. Either the autronic cdi or something from MSD. I'm using the Autronic SM4. Any help would be great cheers Shane

bought 5m of line from my local brake shop, and 10 tube nuts, a flaring tool and a pipe bender and made them up myself. yeh the plan is to replace all the crap that i can aceess now before the motor goes in for good. also the box is just there so i dont have to find another place to store it. however that particular one wont be going back in
