i know myself and the owner dont get sick of it hahaha they can be turned so its not as 'raspy' on idle, but then there goes hp, and who wants to do that? he's running a 35r with the .82 rear, and power tips over at 8000rpm (although 1 silicon joiner is sucking closed at high rpm so that could be playing a part in that) so i reckon something closer to 270deg would be ideal on an rb30 with the 35r

haha yeh its pretty straight forward tips - before you start, make sure uve got it on TDC ( u can check for tdc by lining up the 2 white marks 1 on the harmonic balancer the 2nd on the lower engine cover), and dont go moving the crank or cams when u remove the belt
