Yeah i have jack and stands. Cool. I suspected it was all bolts and nuts. Does the angled exhaust sit lower?
-
Also, Does the Angled system sit lower to the ground?

Do you need any special tools or can i do this job at home. I am looking to buy a 3" XFORCE CAT back (angled) exhaust system. Do i require any further tools (welding etc)? Wouldn't mind doing it at home if its easy. Looks easy. But i am not sure if the angled exhaust requires more work. Thanks in advance guys.

Clutch Pedal Wont Go Back Up!

I have tried that. Could it be something to do with the slave cylinder? -
Hi, Car:r33 RB25det Type: Manual 93. I have bleed the master and slave cylinder but i can't get the clutch pedal to return to the top of the stroke. It seems to sit in the depressed position. Does anyone know what the problem is and how i rectify this?

Does anyone know what clutch fluid to put in the reservoir. Is it gearbox fluid? Or is there some special clutch fluid you use in the reservoir in the engine bay. This is for an R33 RB25DET series 2. Cheers, Jerry.

Hi, I hooked up my Consult software and found that i am not getting a TPS voltage. It seems to stay at 0v when connected and 5.1volts when disconnected. Does anyone know why i am not getting a reading to my consult. Furthermore, if i can't get it, is the ECU able to get it and adjust the fuel accordingly. Cheers, Jerry.

Hello, I just dropped my engine and gearbox into the R33 Series 1 RB25DET. There are two signals from the gearbox (neutral and Reverse) that have no connectiions to the harness engine wiring. Does anyone know where the signals from the car (engine/harness) are to connect to the gearbox plugs. Totally lost as to where it goes? Cheers, Jerry.

Hi people, I want to re-spray my car to an orange colour. I was interested in the orange color, either Ford or Holden orange. Any ideas on what the colour codes are for these. Or any suggestions on what colour is good. Thanks guys.

People(s), I wanted to buy a 600X300X75 fMIC (type Hybrid) for my R33 Series 1. I don't want to change the front bar or put on a kit so want to put it under my standard series 1 bumper. Will it fit, and if not what size will fit. I don't particularly want to start cutting out the front intrusion bar. I also understand that the front intrusion bar will sit infront of the intercooler : : , i have seen that some have no intrusion bar in front coz it's cut or is it coz they sit it infront with a bigger front bar. Please help before i buy something i will regret. Thanks.

Hi Guys, I need to install my FMIC and will need to cut out the front intrusion bar (to fit my Hybrid Intercooler as per the specifications). The car will have to go through the pits after all the modifications and i want to make sure that i don't get pinned for having a modified (cut) front intrusion bar. I don't think they will look. Or should i wait till i get it over and then finish of the intercooler and piping. Until then i will have to re-install the old intercooler from my R33. Advice would save me time and mucking around. i have an r33 series 1.

Hey guys, The series 1 and series 2 engines have different looms and hence different ECU pin layouts. I need to know the differences between the two as part of my conversion. I am putting a series 2 engine into a series 1 car. The plugs next to the ECU are different for the 2 series and i need to know how to wire them up. Does anyone have wiring diagrams for the two series. I can only find the S1 wiring diagram. Thanks in advance.

Help: Wiring Harness Conversion (series 1 To Series 2)
jerry replied to jerry's topic in General Maintenance
I have been told that i have to use the Series 2 ECU for my Series 2 engine. The coil packs are driven differently and there are few other differences. From what you have explanied..... 1) i shall retain my series 1 harness so all the power leads fit and i don't have to rewire; 2) i shall put in the series 2 engine and wire it up (chaning various sensors); 3) i shall plug the series 2 ECU into the series 1 harness Is this how you see it. I hope there are no problems with this. Thanks in advance for your response. -
Thanks for the replies. Will be working on replacing the timing belt and bits and pieces tomorrow.

Help: Wiring Harness Conversion (series 1 To Series 2)
jerry replied to jerry's topic in General Maintenance
So there are no worries in connecting a series 2 ECU to the Series 1 harness? I will thus use the series 1 wiring loom to drive the series 2 engine. Is that how you see it (apart from modifying the various sensors)? -
Hi, I am in the process of putting in a Series 2 engine in a series 1 R33 Skyline. I found the wiring harness is different for the two (including the ECU). How do i install the engine and wire it up properly if the harness is different? I know i have to use the series 2 ECU and i have change over the air-flow meter(i have both these parts). Do i put the series 2 ECU on the Series 1 harness and wire up the engine and engine bay plugs. This seems easier. OR Do i pull out the series 1 harness, put in the Series 2 harness with ECU and wire up the engine plugs and engine bay plugs. If so what are the modifications required. Some of the S2 plugs wont fit on the engine bay! Your input would be much helpful. Kinda stuck at the moment on what to do. Cheers Jerry

Does anyone know if there are significant wiring harness changes between the Series I and Series II R33 GTS-t. Also, if there are any significant engine changes between the two models. Thanks.
