  1. hey, just curious if any other members have and stratagies as to seperating the output shaft from the engine.. engine is supported by crane atm with all bellhousing bolts undone, with a jack supporting the gearbox. The studs at the end of the block that stick into the gearbox are also protruding and there is about a 10mm gap between the box and the block, but she just won't seem to budge anymore any idea's would be helpful cheers guys, mark

  8. great thread, wondering though if it would be possible rather than removing the front cap to just increase the size of the 4 holes in the front of it, thus keeping the 4 jets as opposed to the large 1 jet, as this could only help improve the atomisation of the fuel?

  10. hmm, perhaps if people appreciated cars in general more, then they would be able to easily pick the distinctive individual lines of both the ferrari and the nissan here.. i think the comparison is like comparing two cars from the 70's.. simerlar styling, sameish shape, but they have their own individual traits..
  11. so basically, you're blocking off the original high pressure feed on the bottom of the head which feeds from the block with the grub screw, then you've drilled and tapped another one into that same gallery so as to feed it via an external line from the oil cooler? thanks heaps for your help, much appreciated
  12. i've been browsing through this thread over the past 2 or so weeks as i'm very close to doing this conversion myself (as in blown rb25 out and disassembled, waiting on 30 block) but there is one thing i can't seem to find a definent answer on, although i'm sure it must be somewhere in this thread.. the head i'm using is the r33 rb25det with vct, however i'm at a loss as to what to do with the vct.. i read some bore out the oil gallery going from just above the vct solinoid as a source of oil but this dangerously lowers oil pressure throughout the intake cam high pressure side, which is a no no.. others somehow route an external supply of oil to the vct solinoid but i've been unable to find where they tap this into? if i'm just being a retard and have missed out a very obviouse post then could somebody please tell me so and refer me too it, or could just enlighten me on this subject i will love you long time, i really will
  13. hey guys, just wondering do the oil and water galleries on the a31 rb20e line up with that of an rb20det from a skyline? also, i've had a bit of a search but i still can't seem to find the bore and compression details of the rb20e, if anybody knows it would be appreciated thanks alot, mark
  14. hey there, as per topic i have for sale a pair of 32 GTR turbo's with dump pipes, i'm after $400 for both.. i bought them about 4 months back and they've sat ontop of my cupboard ever since. the guy i bought them off got them in the boot of his GTR when it was imported as it already had a pair of HKS's on it.. they are in pretty good condition and next to no shaft play. cheers, mark.

  24. haha yeah that's the plan mate, as for mods that could contribute, i'm running a power FC (it was only on it's stock map, as it mysteriously dropped it's other one :@), HKS EVC @ .74 bar, a sub zero 600x300x90mm intercooler with just jap style piping and a turbosmart bov.. thinking the stock map on the power fc could've contributed to a lean out as the air was pretty cool that night.. my coilpacks did give off the occasional misfire too when the temperature really dropped.. ahh well, all a chance to upgrade i'm not too fussed, i do think i'll check out the oil pump though and pull the block right down this weekend when i get it out
